Beginning on a two-way deal this season with the Maine Celtics, Ron demonstrated right away with dominant performances in G League play that he could compete at the NBA level. Joe Mazzulla showed trust in Ron, so much so that he earned his first start against Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, holding his own with strong defense and 11 points scored.
Those who know Ron aren’t surprised by his success. Born into a basketball family, his father being 5x NBA Champion Ron Harper, and his brother Dylan starring in his rookie season for the San Antonio Spurs, all Ron needed was a real chance to showcase his skills. The last game of the season is kind of a preview of the next season I always find. Peyton used to own those games. Now it's Ron and Baylor and Luka. What are fun season.
