AI can’t decipher what happens on the court like injuries or even if certain players play well together. This is very worry sum

You would be crazy to think there isn't one manager out there not using ai and biometrics to make decisions. Just like the moneyball movie with brad pitt, this has been done for years and years. An ai can think about injuries, family situations, and player habits and data.

It's important to know as well that he isn't at all stupid – nor fully ignorant on Hockey. he is a TV media guy – and he is the guy whom took NHL hockey rights & Hockey Night in Canada from CBC – curated the transition which had to be clunky merging those worlds – he did Axe Don Cherry which has proven to be good for the show and he's been integrated heavily. And he's always been in charge of Sportsnet for over a decade – and while his views come from media content – media content hires insiders. There's a shift. There was always going to be one. Tim Liewickie Previous MLSE head whom hired Masai and Shanahan in these roles – believed in hiring the best talent and getting out of their way. That's quite rare in sports. And isn't cool in Rogers world. It's also important to know that Rogers has a a tonne of debt from buying out their rivals and has had to layoff and refinance the company. So not totally surprising where there is duplication Kieth trims – EG Masai can't be replaced anyway so why try. Let Bobby run the sports and Kieth and team have the finance ticketing marketing and more. I suspect Leafs will have exact same direction. Pelley isn't evil not from what I have seen of him personally. But he is responsible. And these sports properties are his responsibility. I also expect once Tannenbaum is out -The other Rogers Directive they have been building a financial warchest to do – as they have the contractual option to do so : the whole group is going to be renamed Rogers Sports something or other and merged with the Jays to become one of the largest sports organizations in the world – which is a Rogers publicly stated goal. Pelley is a factor. He is supposed to be. Thats business and the Business of Sports.
