The Toronto Raptors offense is built for the NBA playoffs…
There’s a lot to be said about the differences between the regular season and the playoffs. But one thing has held true for most of my life – while not a requirement (see, 2024 Celtics) for playoff success, midrange and elbow efficiency and frequency ticks up, and Toronto has 2 of the best middle of the floor players in the league between Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram.

Bless you mane
Lowkey but they gotta be strong physically
After watching the Hornets/Heat game last night here are a couple of thoughts that came to mind:
(1)I am really disappointed in Bobby Webster as a GM and I think he may just be a numbers guy and not have a good eye for talent. The reason I say this is because he let Davion Mitchell go in exchange for Jamal Shead and Davion had a great performance under high pressure last night. He constantly drove into the paint, made shots and played decent Defense.
(2) Secondly, Bobby Webster had a chance to attain Coby White for as little as Two 2nd round picks I believe and he didn't pull the trigger knowing we need a PG that can get into the paint and shoot. Coby played great last night getting into the paint and hitting so many timely 3’s and he is exactly the type of player that the Raps needed at the trade deadline.
(3) Finally, based on my observations a team needs good rim protection, good perimeter defense, good guard play with players that can get into the paint like Davion Mitchell repeatedly did last night and players that can make high pressure shots/buckets like Coby White did last night.
From what i’ve seen this season, the Raps don’t really have any of these things and that's why I believe the Raps will struggle in the playoffs.
The only reason why I believe they may have a slight chance in making this series competitive is that Cleveland's Defense has been relatively average or poor all season. Had they faced the Knicks with all their elite perimeter defenders and shot blocking it would have been an easy sweep or 4-1 at best.
Nice hair cut dude, lookin like tom cruise
looking forward to raptors upsetting everyone all the way into the finals!
The Raptors can get really funky, and the Cavs are way closer to traditional.
Darko can make changes on the fly, even if he isn't subbing right away. The floor "looks" the same but the play is different. Forcing them to be consistently uncomfortable.
If Raptors can't beat Cleveland. I trading for top 5 pick in this year's draft. CMB not included.
If Scottie doesn't lead this team thought this series. I would trade him
Now will coaching be the. weak link.
The wizard lineups.
T his playoffs does not excite me like the draft.
and. I'm excited about the playoffs.
Darko really has to use his timeouts strategically to curb any potential Cavs runs that could put Raptors in huge deficits early.
12:27 – I'm already convinced that CMB is the "Wemby Stopper". He's like if Paul Pierce as a defensive 4/5.
Just very smooth, it also feels like he was part of the team last year.
Let ESPN 🔥 Raptors in 4 🦖 🧹
LET’S GO RAPTORS!!
20:36 – endurance training, for a tighter playoff rotation. Allows them push limits.
29:39 – or, he can test it out early on in the game.
