Bulls land an extra 1st-round pick in NBA Draft — does it make their executive job more attractive?

Laurence Holmes and Russ Dorsey reacted to the Bulls landing an extra first-round pick in the NBA Draft this June by virtue of the Blazers advancing to the playoffs with a win against the Suns on Tuesday in the play-in tournament. Does that make the Bulls’ executive opening a more attractive job?

  1. Can't wait to see the garbage they get for trading whomever they pick 4 years from now.

  2. Patrick Williams is a hell of a player it’s hard too show how great you are with a incompetent front office because he was killing when he first came too the bulls

  3. Yeah well, a lot of good it's going to do them since they don't have a front office. I'm thinking, soon they might not have a coach either. If I'm Billy, I'm getting the hell out of Chicago. Suppose the new management wants their own coach, then what? Better yet, suppose Billy asks for certain GM and the Bulls refuse? This could go off the rails really quickly. Not only that, but I saw somewhere that the Bulls only have 7 players under contract for next season, with a couple of them being injured. Including the 2 picks in the 1st round, that gives them 9 players, of course. They're still several players short. And what is it with these Chicago sports teams? All of them are awful and I'm still not sold on the Bears despite their success last season. Let's see what they do playing a 1st place schedule in 2026.

  4. Lmk when they aren't tanking or in a play-in. Lost patience with them and just can't support a Reinsdorf organization anymore.

  5. Patrick Williams was a victim of roster construction, with players like Lavine , and Derozan, Coby, and Vuch.

  6. Please, no Billy ball! Do us all a favor and go back to the college level. We want a GM that is allowed to decide who he wants as head coach; someone that can create an identity that will be successful for years to come. This is not an attractive destination if you don’t have any say in who will be your head coach.

  7. Come on NBA, do the Bulls a solid and crinkle a ping-pong ball or two and get the Bulls into the top-3 of the draft
