Your Favorite Lakers Fan here. There is some history of Nugs losing too the Wolves but that team is not the same, Them beating you guys 4 games is not happening. The single fact that Jamal has played great against them and this year is really good news. The extra rest will help all the players on the team.

The Wolves are no longer some awful matchup for the Nuggets since we fixed the bench and have this group of young guys mostly playing really well. While it would be nice to have Watson back for this series, it’s still Denver in five.

You can't play AG at five with the second unit. You are just asking for a relapse at that point. His minutes should be played with Jokić and kept to 32 minutes max, except in ot.

I'm so happy the Nuggets are playing the Wolves. I don't get how so many people put stock in a 2024 series when Malone played his starters into exhaustion after building a huge lead in the 3rd quarter. Yet, nobody seems to remember that the Nuggets beat the Wolves in 5 in 2023.
The Wolves are the best matchup for Denver! We need an opponent that triggers our winner instinct!
Braun is a good defender on ant snd his trabsition and offball offense on 2s is really good

I find it hard to believe you all overlooked the fact that Tim built the Wolves Specifically to counter what Our Nuggets do best, and then brought Chris and Micah on to coach the players up. #1 reason They are the worst has to be they molded our own brain trust to oppose us.

Can and cant play that so stupid. I think everyone on our bench can play. Coaching staff is there to figure out when to put who in for what match up. Also Payton and Spencer are injured. Probably not gonna be effective this round, or even next round if we get there. We have watched AG looking like a dinosaur out there when hes half healthy for 3 seasons. Seen Murray and MPJ being bad for seasons due to playing half injured. There is just no way Pwats or Spencer impact much with their injuries.
People keep forgetting how big Nickeil Alexander-Walker was for TWolves. Without him they are not as scary as they were.
Yeah great breakdown, I’m a wolves fan but have a huge respect for your team. Wolves have to muck it up and play fast to win and Ant and randle need to buy into that. Nobody will be surprised if Joker averages 40 20 10
Ok, but why is Matt yelling?
Weird take on Ant being “mad” if he can’t get highlights…..? He doesn’t force anything anymore, that was at the beginning of LAST year & Ant has consistently thrived by putting opponents in rotation & making the right reads since. He flexed that in the playoffs last year. I get it if you don’t have time to watch every game for every team because he’s made subtle changes, but this is kinda out there.
Other than that, this was a pleasure to listen to. As a Wolves fan, I’m not super hyped on this series & would’ve loved to avoid Denver in the 1st round. I’m not as confident in our team this year for sure, but there’s a lot of reasons why this is a tough out for DEN that fans don’t seem to want to acknowledge.
For example, MN is the ONLY team to beat both SAS & OKC twice. They’re also the only team since 2022 to win a game against OKC while never trailing & they’ve done it 2x.
Beyond that, they beat BOS twice, with & without Tatum. When they want to & all of them lock in, they can beat literally anybody.

As far as the matchup this year:
DEN won both of the early games, 1 of which Ant didn’t play in & it was one of the 1st games of the year (MN is maddeningly notorious for tough starts).
The Christmas game was probably one of the best games I’ve seen (next to the Nuggets v Wolves double OT last year lol), but I don’t think Denver looked like they were the decidedly better team, at all.
The Wolves won the one matchup after the deadline & it’s because of their speed & defensive pressure. They force a lot of TOVs & they love to get out & run (something I don’t see Denver do as much, but I don’t watch enough to know). Ayo & Bones come off the bench just sprinting nonstop & they've earned the nickname “twin turbos”. Getting Kyle Anderson back is very valuable as well. He brings high IQ to the game that MN desperately needed w/ Conley’s reduced minutes.
The other this is everyone seems to think MN is really “banged up” & that just isn’t accurate.
Jaden is back at his best – he just had a bone bruise with no soft tissue problems.
Almost every major player on both teams have been out with an injury at some point this year & with every team itl resting its entire playoff rotation, it’s really hard to gauge where guys are at RIGHT NOW. The Wolves weren’t rushed from injury & that was intentional.
I hope that the Nuggets win, but I don't ever count my chickens before they hatch.
