Who cares about awards that fake
People vote for !!!
realistically Luka carried the less quality team to be high ranked in the stronger west but they let Cade to be award-eligible to overtake Luka and be in the 1.allNBA etc. hypocrisy, racism, hate…..is enormous, changing narrative year after year is disgusting etc etc
I’m glad that Luka and Cade are eligible…BUT a rule is a rule…if the nba put f.e. 60 games for awards they would be a star that played 59 games…then what?
Even with Vrabel/Russini disaster, NBA manages to look like worse clowns.
Partially from NBA…
They need to get rid of load management. Thats what caused all this fuss. Star players sitting out.
minutes played is better than games played
I think it's dumb because you basically reward a guy who missed the 65 game mark because he got too many technicals. 🤷♂
The NBA is weak. Enforce the rules or get rid of the rules.
It's not rocket science.
"Doncic played 64 qualified games but he missed two games in December due to traveling for the birth of his child abroad. "
Ok, so what about the other 16 games he didn't play? What about the game he was suspended! That game alone would have put him at 65! Let's ignore those and cherry-pick two "other" games that would have gotten him to 65. 🤦♂
Edwards business manager talking like that tells you everything.
This is Anthony Edwards karma. Take care of your kids, deadbeat.
Isn’t the point that you need to play every game you can so that if you have a legit injury or family thing you’re not in trouble?

so basically, a vacation (paternity) for Luka and sick leave (non-basketball) for Cade. Same as with majority of companies who gives out VL/SL benefits. Nice for the NBA to apply exceptions.
So I propose, when the stars don't play the fans get a partial refund. You're expecting people to pay top dollar for every single game they attend but don't expect the stars to be at a majority of them. I don't understand why people care so much about millionaires making more money. The fans are the ones that are getting screwed over in this situation. The backups aren't good enough to be on an all NBA team which doesn't play anybody and only lives on a computer screen. But we're expected to pay top dollar to watch them play. Stop making rules if you're just going to back down because some people cry about their favorite player not getting an award.
There’s only one guy that lead the league in assist and rebounds, how can he rebound when his assisting
A technical foul is an integral part of the game. Absence due to the birth of a child is an exception. Anyone who doesn't understand this is an idiot.
Enforcing a rule then picking and choosing who to reverse it for??
Man do better stfu play enough games
Assuming your getting a award your not even eligible for is crazy work . Ok so what they were gonna get an award but still entitlement and expectations like a mf .
Now watch a mf disagree .
I was a fan of 65 game rule. But now that its not a hard rule but a soft one get rid of it whats the point. Luka is my favourite player and im happy he gets his awards but now that people have circumstances that arent defined that allow you to skirt the rules we are just going to go back to players resting then claiming other reasons and if hhey dont get it they'll complain rightfully so. Look at the Ant situation now things are muddy. The rule was supposed to be a clear line in the sand if not scrap it cause theres no point if you have no backbone that the first time its challenged it folds
Who care victor is above all those bumps
It should be minutes played at the least. Luka and Cade both had like 3-400 more minutes played than Wemby but weren't eligible, it makes no sense. I 100% think Cade should be eligible but ANT is right. How do you get injured on the court, while playing basketball and it's not a basketball injury. 😂🥴 I would love to sit in some of these meetings with these morons making decisions.
And now the NBA is going to water down every award they have by changing the rules and making exceptions. They just opened up Pandora's box
Why have the rule if you don’t enforce it.
This was stupid , rules the rules 🤷🏽
Why make a rule if you are just going to make exceptions to bypass it? Just a dumb decision by the NBA especially to not grant it to Ant too
The Cade one makes no darn sense. I understand the Luka one
A lot of players may as well do what wemby does next year… just load manage and play about 20 mins some games to still be eligible while still getting to load manage and not get fined… pretty solid plan actually. Less minutes in the body, same amount of games played and then you can go from playing 20-30 mins to 30-40 mins in the playoffs like turning on a switch.. if it’s that easy for wemby I’m copying the same thing next year if I’m jokic or sga or Luka… just focus on minutes played… it’s funny how a guy who didn’t take the skill challenge seriously and takes shots at players in media without actually putting a name on it and plays minimum minutes to achieve nba awards is the pinnacle of basketball integrity but here we are 😂😂 I’m glad I know wemby will do greater things because this isn’t even close to greatness yet. I expect him to actually surpass playoff expectations.. which sadly is why I expect him to probably crumble… I want to see a 4 peat.. but if wemby can’t even be asked to learn post moves as a 7’5 player in year three idk if he’ll ever be asked to.. very sad state of the league when a player is better playing like Tim Duncan and even could get personal traing from him yet the team and player himself wants to play like KD.. crazy narrative around this kid and I hope he makes more impactful decisions for his actual game.. a big shooting 3s just int special to me.. but seeing him do drop step spins tk one handed quick bank shots in the post would be money all day… plus he could operate out of it and become a triple double threat like jokic.. dear lord why do you fans not want wemby in the post it’d be godly basketball.. 😅😂😂 please y’all help me be so delusional that I an train wemby and actually make him the GOAT.. whoever is training him now is severely letting him off easy… no bueno 😢
I get the kid thing. But Cade missed games due to a basketball injury
You can’t be all NBA if you miss 20 games. It’s awards for PLAYING basketball
Sad day for the NBA
Let me start with, I am a Luka fan.
I know the rule is hated by some, but at 65 games, that means you can miss 17 games. I find it silly to focus on why 1 or 2 games were fine to miss, or why some injuries count, and others don't. Don't miss 15 other games, if you know you will be having a baby. Any regular worker plans leave around the knowledge of a birth.
The rules may stink, but everyone knew them before the season. Exceptions being granted feels like the NBA is picking winners and losers.
This was for the owners they didn’t want to pay the extra money for the 2 guys who would’ve taken Luka and cades spots on the all nba teams.
Malika so trash for that comment. “You love when tripping is inserted into a statement” 😒
Cry babies
Cade cutting through two defenders like Luka, so many players taking a play out of the Luka game book.
Because it's Luka. If you can't play more than 70 games, you shouldn't be eligible for any awards.
I don’t understand why Cade got his appeal. It’s a rare injury but still an injury nonetheless. Luka at least had a good excuse with the birth of children
Because the NBA is now the WWE, such a joke!
