I don't even care that we lost as long as Scottie did his part offensively. As the leader of the team he did his part by showing up offensively. Now he has to continue and show up consistently throughout this series.
We also need to protect the paint and it might be worth starting CMB or TJD regardless of how it might look or else Mobley and Allen are going to feast inside the paint all night.
Finally we dont have many perimeter defenders that guard against Clevelands 3 pt shooters Which is going to hurt us in this series.
Darko was awful in his first coaching job in the playoffs. Awful. He did exactly what the cavs wanted him to do. Badly out coached. And I have no faith in him to bench yak.

Raptors need more guys to just move — locate to corners, drive, cut, screen.. be doing something consistently. Too many stretches where they’re just looking at a packed paint running out the shot clock playing hot potato with the ball moving it from player to player creating no advantages
And for sure please attack players like Strus and Harden .. they’re definitely gonna get theirs on offense

My issue today (and in general) is Darko’s stubbornness to his egalitarian philosophy, it’s the playoffs mismatch hunt and force chess moves. I didn’t see strategic PnRs on Harden or the 3rd defender for our wings

My issue is that this was our scoring with us getting insane shooting performances from 3. Scottie and shead hitting that crazy from deep is not consistent at all. Granted I don’t expect Scottie to struggle inside as much as he did inside the paint and it was good to see him attack especially going later. Game 2 with adjustments and game plan changes will be very telling

In all fairness, the Cavaliers set up the defense as early as they could a lot of possessions where the Raptors would usually go for the break. The turnovers the Cavaliers had didn't always give the Raptors an opportunity to go for the break either. Atkinson would be an idiot not to make the Raptors running one of the main focus in the preparation for the series.
We're going up against Mitchell and Harden with Shead, IQ(if he ever comes back), Jakobe and RJ Barrett… all 4 of those guys combined are not even close to that talent level. We need a lead guard or two. Jakob Poeltl looking like a stretch provision.. He was fumbling the ball all night and just looking like a mess.

Cavs strengths are numerous. We dont have the personnel to shut them all down
Their gonna need to put RJ on Dean Wade or something. Harden & Mitchell were able to go where they want everytime with RJ. Harden isn't as explosive anymore so i'd try Boyles on Harden. It could also help when they try to switch the bigs on whoever is guarding harden. Put someone smaller then harden, he can just body his way to the rim. They need someone with length on him, who is also stronger, and could keep up with him.
Id then have Scottie on Allen as I think Scottie is more quick to contest those lobs then Poeltl on Mobley since Poeltl is heavier than Mobley, so it would be harder for him to get inside (When its both Mobley & Allen on the floor). Have Mobley beat you by making threes
