The Hawks are not prepared for game one. Apart from CJ and JK, the rest were overcome with nerves. JJ was just not good enough. NAW had his worst game as a Hawk. Coach Quinn was totally out-coached once again! This has the making of a sweep.
Hawks don’t have any pick n roll continuity.

Jalen needs to bring the ball up and play point on offense & wake up on defense
CJ still needs to become a secondary facilitator.

I believe the bad transition defense was due to bad offense. I dont like how CJ plays at all. When he's hitting those shots it looks great but when he misses, its very demoralising. Imagine playing good defense, getting a stop then running up the court and not touching the ball just for CJ to dribble and take a shot or turn the ball over. You will feel demolalised and not run back as hard as if you were involved in the offense. In the second half, CJ was awful.
Hawks are good I honestly just think there’s a gap in experience and execution. Knicks in 5 or 6.
Kuminga's first 5 minutes were not great offensively, but once he settled into the game i feel like he should have been featured more going to the rim. In the 4th quarter he had back to back possessions attacking the rim and scored easily but didnt get any more touches after that which i thought was not good by his team mates not getting him the ball. I think he can be used better in stretches to give the team a scoring punch
According to the NBA website teams that win game 1 win the series 75% of the time. What about the hawks are talented enough to be the 25% exception and not just another statistic?
Not sure whats going on but JJ/OO refuse to pass to JK. Had him open for 3 dunks in transition and didn't pass the ball. Its a lot of buddy ball.
CJ scored well but set the tone with a million iso possessions.
JJ was bad defensively. Quinn is cold for throwing Zacc in like that when hasn't really been in the rotation.
DD did not look good.
All in all, its only GAME ONE!

I felt like Jalen wasn’t assertive enough he didn’t seem to have a superstar mentality. He was content to let other guys take the shots and just be part of the offense or defer to CJ. Needs to drive more fs and force the refs to make a call. He missed a couple tough drives early but needs to keep trying if we want to have a shot
OO played well with the versatility and shooting. Jalen needs to wake up on defense otherwise Atlanta will get swept.

Atlanta is searching for an identity, and the Knicks have one. The Knicks are the better team and I don't see this series going past 5 games. 4-1 Knicks. Atlanta will be lucky to win 1, but i'll give them 1 game atleast. I don't see a superstar of any kind on this Hawks team

A lot of possessions where CJ was in iso like it was 2018. They got rattled because of that. He needs to be the secondary creator. They also never recognized that Jordan Clarkson was guarding JK in the 4th. They were struggling for offense but they weren’t recognizing matchups

LOVE the title of the POD Brad….SOOOO true!!!! Hey..did anyone check out the Lakers game?????? He was HEALTHY…..He was playing lights out…and ONSI traded him away for NOTHING! LUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My point is..like I've been saying since the trade…WHY did ONSI go and get him in the off-season then in the first place? We were all excited about that off-season…JUST wish that trade didn't happen! I’ve said it before CJ doesn’t play winning basketball, just plays iso ball to get his own shot, JJ is a stat packer and doesn’t have a lot of impactful plays, NAW was terrible offensively and needs to pass more, Daniels was poor overall and OO was the only one who played well
They have a 6’11 big man on the bench that they brought in. All game the commentators was talking about size. The hawks have a player that can bring that. Also he’s a veteran. And , and he played with Quin before.☝🏾send Tony Bradly out there. Watching a non traditional center like onyeka go against kat is nasty to me.

CJ McCullum and NAW were TRASH….Kuminga should be the 3rd Option on the team if they gonna have any chance of beating the KNICKS.

The ISO ball was so ugly especially when we needed consistent points. I was screaming for more ball movement. Idk what the game plan was but it failed. Thanks for talking about it Brad!
I don't care if CJ hit his shots or not. For the most part he shoot bad shots and offensive crippling shots. CJ's offensive mindset isn't conducive to winning & the defense is allowed to take a break because of CJ. It's a bad brand of basketball. Starting NAW & CJ in the playoffs is nasty. Yes, it could work in the regular season but in the playoffs teams can bait CJ into taking unnecessary shots
Not taking Sarr #1 in the draft was a massive mistake. Risacher is a bust, let’s face it. We’re missing Landale’s presence so badly, fuck Goga….
