This doesn't have to be complicated. You go all in for Giannis if that's what they want to do, but do it EARLY. If it doesn't work, trade everyone and go young. Riley has this franchise in a chokehold because they are working on his timeline. This is a new NBA, new CBA, new rules… the more you try to get that whale, the more time is being wasted for the inevitable. You want Giannis? Great, go get him. If not, trade and reset. Get picks and think about the future. Ja Morant, Mitchell, Leonard at this age, don't move the needle. I'm even on the fence on Giannis… if you're gutting the team for him then what's the point?
They wanna compete? Great. They wanna rebuild ? Great. BUT, no more mid! No, "we need a puncher chance" or copium. We want clear direction with clear upside not stagnation. Am I wrong?
