This is outstanding content. Extremely thorough.
Are we gonna bring back the bully ball 90s era with this series!? No true shooting PGs beyond Jenkins?
This is gonna be fire. Great hype video.
Magic in 5
Glad to have this analysis (Pistons fan).
Charlotte didn't cause me any worries. Orlando does. The Pistons seemed to struggle more against big teams who matched the Pistons' physicality than they did with the NBA norm these days which is a pack of three point shooters. Larger teams seem to be better able to cover the Pistons' "in the paint" offense and limit second chance points, too. This should be a good, tense series.
Hornets was the 1st game this team was healthy and they have a whole season of anger and rage to concoct their spells on all of Detroit
Magic in 3.. SAS probably
Magic fans really do believe in magic 😆
CAYDE spam honey ham Cunningham MAGIC IN 5 😂
Charlotte would have been an easier team. Orlando is a kind of a Piston knockoff. They're physical, play good defense, and shoot the three worse than the Pistons. They will fall to the Pistons in six.
Magic in 6!
This series isn't gonna be close, imo. Maybe 5, but probably a sweep. I think it'll be fun to watch, bc I don't expect my Pistons to pull away till the 3rd or 4th quarters.
The magic have no counter for Cade or JD, and no one who can pull Stew out of the paint or Ausar off the ball. Suggs or Black vs Daniss (pronounced with a long A btw) will be a fun match-up. And then there's gonna be Ron coming out to stop their momentum on the defensive end, and with transistion plays, and maybe even bonus points from 3, like he's been giving us for the past half dozen games or so.
That doesn't even factor in Duncan and Huerter, whom I expect to have amazing playoff performances throughout the postseason.
Honestly, my biggest concern is if JB falls in love with a lineup that isn't working in an attempt to impose our will, and that idea not working out in the short term. But that's it.
PS- Look out for a dirty play from Orlando to try and take out one of our stars. Magic are dirty as hell, especially when they're being proven less physically dominant. They will try to take someone out once it's being proven that they can't contain us inside.
Detroit is just better. Maybe 4-1.
Pistons in 5
Pistons in fo
Free throws and refs is there only chance magic got 37 free throws vs the hornets refs will try it again on Sunday 😅
Orlando has a better chance than people think. Most of the time the playoffs just come down to having players that can get their own shot off. I think Orlando has more guys that can create their own look. It just depends on what version of Magic show up.
Great breakdown.
"Offense sells tickets. Defense wins titles." Pat Summitt. This will be a great match-up. Two physical teams, battling like the old days.
Good breakdown. Thoughtful and backed by data.
Pistons in 6
this is awesome Josh
Detroit in 6🔥🏆
Remember they whooped us a couple weeks ago. We have to at least match there defensive intensity
Magic lost to Boston, who played no starters. Then, they lost to the 76ers without Embid. Then they played the Hornets, who barely beat the Heat after intentionally injuring the Heat's best player, early in the game. Now, based on this amazing run of winning one of three games against low level competition, they are a serious threat to upset the team with the best record in the east. A lot of wishful thinking going on out there.
