How is Detroit bigger than Boston?? Stop!
Jokics floor is two stories higher than Wembys. Game one against the Wolves is as bad as he can play and he got a 25pt triple double. Got 1ft and attempted 3 shots in tbe first half and scores 25. Not possible for Jokic to have a truly bad game.

New York is beating Celtics in the semi’s! People say New York has no bench but how good is Robinson, McBride, Clarkson and even Shamet is solid – Knicks bench is so much better than last year and they beat the Celtics last year.
They thrive under pressure
Orlando is a Game 1 on the road dynasty
This Blazers/Spurs game reinforced my belief that the Blazers can steal a couple games from the Spurs. They missed soooo many wide open 3’s in the first half. They could have been up 15. Still found a way to even the game up. They just lost focus for a couple minutes and the Spurs were able to take control.
Blazers are a solid team. If Dame comes back looking anything like old Dame, you’re looking at a top 4 seed next year.
Spurs are definitely in trouble round 2 against Denver. No shot at all in the WCF if they can get there against OKC.
Portland shot 26% from 3 and Spurs shot 45% from 3. If they both shoot 40%, Trail Blazers win 113-105
Orlando is much better than their record. They had frustration and mentality issues during the year because of key injuries and lack of chemistry, but when they are all locked in, they can beat anybody. There is still a long way to go but if they find consistency they are one of the best in the east.
The main stream media: Shai who? The alternative media: Shai is a grifter that makes sense.
Luka has never jumps into the defenders feet when taking a jumpshot. Luka doesnt even fall to the ground to exaggerate it. Shai does it 5 times every game. There shouldnt be a conparison
6:43 big NO there… the Spurs were taking very tough shots, met with very strong defense for most of the game. Wemby was the only X factor, with his crazy 3pt shooting.
As proof, you can see the Blazers had 39 made FG vs only 40 by the Spurs. The spurs just had 5 more of them being 3's, AND a FT discrepancy but that's beside the point, and pretty negligible.
Am amazed that nobody,on any team, doesnt target SGA and smashes his face in "accidentally"
Give the flopper real reason to fall down.
Fuking unbelivable that teams just accept this nonsense.
19:36 No way that Detroit would be capable of bullying OKC. Dort, Caruso, JDub, and Cason could all hold Cade down. iHart and JWill would be just fine against Duren. Wouldn’t worry about Detroit for one minute.
Wemby defense is a problem, nothing you can do about it except being a good shooting team or having one of the best offensive player of all time like Jokic
My only question is, if the Lakers were bullying everyone, would they be given little talk time because "they're so good there's nothing to say" or would national media talk about them non-stop because they're the best.
Didn’t like that Paul George only took 8 shots. 4th most on the team
This Orlando and Detroit matchup feels an awful lot like when my Mavs played the 8 seed Barron Davis Warriors. The matchup was just so slanted in favor of the Warriors that the Mavs got sent packing and the warriors promptly lost in the next round. Tough luck for the pistons
Shai had one of the worst shooting nights of his career, the rest of the team shot 30% from three and they still blew out the suns by 35. This game could have been a lot worse for them.
Playoff basketball is absolutely electric, that Spurs Crowd is awesome. Magic stealing game 1 in Detroit.
Heading to the comments to see how the Orlando/Pistons take will be received. I’m sure this’ll be fine.
Piston so worry about beating the knicks need to worry about the first round 😂😂😂
No criticism I just wanna say Jason is the smartest basketball analyst on youtube
Remove the physical nature aspect with ANY team against Detroit and EVERYONE IS BETTER. This team has benefited from the refs eating their whistle alllll year. Now when they are not getting the calls they are mortal .
Did the Magic intentionally lose to the 76ers to avoid the Celtics in the first round? No way they can lose so easily to Embiid-less 76ers after what we saw in the last 2 games against the Hornets and the Pistons.
That was my biggest thing with Detroit outside of Cade they don’t have shot creators Orlando got like 5 and they are huge and Detroit can’t bully them, I’m like Jason, I don’t over react to 1 game but, if ima pistons fans I’m sweating
That Pistons magic game was higher scoring than I expected. I thought it was gonna be some 2000s scores because both teams are physical without many shot creators
You can't mash Brunson in there with SGA Luka and Deni anymore. Maybe last year but he's averaged 5 ftpg that's 31st in the league. The other guys are all top 4 at like 10-11 ftpg.
Pistons don’t have enough shooting to get to the finals
Perhaps the most important statistic for why the Jays will be better this postseason than last year is that they combined for 17/29 on 2pt attempts. In their two epic collapses against the Knicks last year, they were a combined 9/18 and 10/30.
I disagree with you on the Boston versus Orlando. Boston can definitely take Orlando and match their size now especially that Tatum is back. Also Boston can even take Detroit without a problem. Nobody wanted to defend bully Ballers during the regular season and get injured. Its Celtics versus thunder in the finals!
Jrue did better than anyone else on Wemby but not sustainable.
Love jason but he be drunk sometimes, Portland was competing MOST of the game
Only problem the Spurs have with experience is stop playing with your food. They should have won by 30 and sat everyone for the 4th.
Jason is so good at breaking down these games..
dude should have his own show on ESPN!
Yo he all the way over reacted after saying he wont 😂
Take it from a true Celtics fan, there’s real chance we are better than last year but not bc of the Tatum brown narrative.
Tatum is damn near perennially top 10 in iso volume and efficiency. So don’t buy the narrative Cs are better bc Tatum wasn’t good in that role and he’s still in that role btw.
Also Tatum has never been in Jaylens way. There’s enough to go around for two mvp candidates. Jaylens sacrifice was to ingratiate KP n jrue n al n brogdon n kemba n kyrie n Gordon b4 that. They both give the game what it needs as Joe would say. That leads to them taking turns as 1a 1b. The game presents opportunities to them bc of their gifts n preparation. It’s just a read.
The first and maybe only time we saw the true tatum x brown dynamic was their first playoff run together In ‘’18. No Kyrie n Gordon n the jays led together taking turns who was 1a n 1b. It almost varried by series little more Jaylen v bucks in rd 1 and a little more Tatum v Philly in rd2. Rd 3 the kinda swapped out games but Tatum had the louder moments n got more credit. EOD they averaged 18.5 and 18 ppg respectively. At that point I couldn’t tell you who was better
Then when we got healthy and I think Tatum fit the roster construction a little better so he played more n those extra reps (esp playmaking) made him a little better than jb but I always knew jb was basically as good as Tatum. After the finals in ‘22 I thought Tatum was no lower than top7, brown top15.
In ‘23 they got a chance to stretch their legs a little andTatum averaged 30ppg Jaylen just under 27ppg – who continued to sacrifice more than Tatum for guys like 6MOY brogdon to feel comfortable. Both guys still had untapped capacity to impact the game given they were centered the way Jokic Luka sga are now.
Then the front office made upgrades n Jaylen sacrificed more. His rep n accolades did as well but those that rly follow the team knew who he was. No surprise he won fmvp.
Now, there’s enough space for both of them to thrive again. N they’ll take what the game gives them. Tatum is still ramping up so the game presents fewer opportunities to him than Jaylen rn. But there’s no implications on who’s really in charge. There’s no 1a 1b – the basketball gods are always in charge.
The real reasons we’re better:
– #1 w a bullet is that were way healthier this yr than last yr. All this talk abt Jaylens improvement, n he has improved marginally, he doesn’t have a torn meniscus anymore. Jrue missed two games w a hamstringing rd1 n battled it throughout the Knicks series. KP illness made him a negative for us on a lot of nights. Tatum missed a game w a wrist injury b4 the Achilles. Pretty sure hauser missed games too.
– yes, there’s more Jaylen this yr, but it’s coming from KP/Jrues/etc usage not Jayson’s.
– There’s also more Payton n Derrick which have kept our turnovers lower n helped us dominate the possession battle.
– Yes the depth at wing make them more versatile defensively n capable of playing a little harder. I used to complain that too much of that load fell on the jays shoulders
– Queta is a defensive upgrade when he’s not in foul trouble. However Vuc n Garza are defensive downgrades from Al n Kornet.
Overall I can’t say for sure that the healthy version of last yrs team wasn’t as good as this yrs team until I see everything play out.
Pistons magic: you did not expect this at all. You gave this series one sentence of attention and you said Detroit in 5. Cmon man
I hate the way the Magic ended the season. Very frustrating as a fan but I also been telling people, Detroit is a much better match up than Boston. The Magic are not a consistent team but if they can remain serious in the playoffs, they can be a problem
Detroit will win the series in 6 but they will be worn down. In similar fashion last year, even though Boston beat Orlando in just 5 games, Orlando's physicality wore down the Celtics and it compromised them in the 2nd round. I'm changing my ECF pick now to be Boston Vs. Cleveland.
40 transition points is crazy. And Bane’s flopping was so ugly. It wasn’t even like crafty trickery. He was just throw himself across the floor.
OKC is gonna go back to back and then have a lottery pick 😂 it’s not fair.
Stop acting like Wemby is carrying a team…
The only improvement of this team since last year were all the added pieces that are top talent.
They have a stacked team, it is not the "Wenbumyama" show given that they easily win without him
