The NBA Has An Oklahoma City Thunder Problem…

The Oklahoma City Thunder just opened back-to-back postseasons with 30+ point wins, joining only the 1986-87 Showtime Lakers. That is not normal. In this video, I break down why this OKC Thunder team already looks better than the team that won the championship, why Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has become the entire offensive engine, how Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams raise the ceiling even higher, and which Western Conference teams can actually challenge them.

This is a bigger-picture Oklahoma City Thunder playoff breakdown focused on what this means for the NBA, the Denver Nuggets, the San Antonio Spurs, and the rest of the West. If the Thunder really can go back-to-back, then this stops being just another title defense and starts becoming a historical conversation…

  1. I fully understand why the Spurs are still a concern but I think not enough people talk about how the Thunder found a counter scheme in their last meaningful meetup and then put up a surprisingly good fight with their C-squad. The data we have on how they play against each other is still significant but far from conclusive.

  2. SGA taking less free throws than the majority of past mvps. And yet everyone has to complain and find a way to cope 😂

  3. How do you mention nuggets missing players but not the same for the thunder. Aaron Gordon doesn’t trump the return of JDub.
Spurs have to have lights out shooting from their guards (especially castle) in order to win.

  4. OKC clearly had the whistle……as usual. I stopped watching at halftime as it was too annoying. however, betting on OKC is a sure thing, the commissioners script is obvious at this point

  5. It’s a whole documentary on this with the players on HBO Max for those who won’t believe it
