As a Pistons fan I've been watching ball for 40 plus years. No way im overreacting to 1 game
I literally called this before the series. The magic clearly have more talent and more playoff experience. If you didn't think they could get it done after two elimination games against a team that just made the playoffs the year before that's on you
I'm a Pistons fan and thought it was possible. Magic play a similar style as Detroit and have been injured/under performing all year. But they have playoff experience and at their ceiling bring great defense.
I was expecting a possible long series but not expecting JD to no show. 😬 As to Ausar, I think JB was trying to create space as Orlando shut down the pick and roll and were denying any lanes in the paint. It's a tough choice with this match up.
Both teams played hard.
Cavs fan here. Bickerstaff was let go in Cleveland because of his playoff coaching. He will always be outcoached… Playoff record is 9-20…
no shock to me, Pistons have no shot creation outside of Cade, if he gets doubled the rest of the series no one else can consistently make the magic pay for throwing two at him.
If Detroit does win this series it will only expose how dis functional they are to the other teams 😂
Knicks fan here. I always believed that the Magic was a better matchup for the Pistons than the Hornets, so I was not surprised about the win. Tobias Harris cannot guard Banchero, and the Magic have the frontline to contend with the Duren and Stewart.
Everyone who said Detroit is a fake #1 seed are looking like they know ball. Are the Pistons already in over their head against the worst team in the bracket?
The Pistons are in trouble folks, the Magic just got healthy before the playoffs and this roster construction with Desmond Bane, Wagner, Paolo, Suggs and other small forward are going to continue to pose challenges and I don't care where the game is being played. Detroit free throw disparity was absolutely awful…19/38. Orlando only took 14/19 free throws!❤❤❤
The referee tried the hardest to help. Detroit win the game too. The referees made so many bad calls on Orlando and didn’t make no calls on Detroit.

The magic just beat one of the best offensives in Charlotte and just 2 days later took down the #2 defensive team in the Pistons. Let's not forget that the Pistons were #1 seed and played at their home. Go Magic Lets get a Cav's Rematch and play a tired Celtics team in ECF. GO MAGIC !!

Paolo, Franz and Jalen haven't played together in a few months either. That's to show you all that the play is way better than the regular season wins. Not only that but the Magic have been the team with the closest point differential in the league which could've gone our way without P5, boogie or Suggs in the lineup.
14:20 Magic were the 7th seed last year but the year before that when they actually stayed healthy were the 5th seed. Now with the Bane addition this is easily a top 4 team in the East when healthy.
Cade not enough .. Tobias played for Orlando for 4 years never did anything in big moments .. Detroit will fall

Magic fan here, we gotta take a close look at the last few years of h2h matchups w these two teams, Paolo has always feasted against those undersized pistons bigs and never takes them seriously, and I like our 2nd and 3rd options much better than the pistons, Cade’s gonna Cade, but who’s gonna be the pistons #2 guy?
Ron Holland can't shoot, and when they pack the paint he is ineffectual, trade him please in this league of shooter's he can be replaced, San Antonio has Castle, who can shoot, drive and finish at the basket and play defense.
A lot of people had the Magic as the third seed coming into the season. They are talented. And they are a team with more playoff experience than this Pistons team.
The Pistons might be in trouble.
Cade is better suggs, Banes is better than Robinson, Wagner is better than Ausar, Banchero is better than tobias and wendel carter can cancel out Duren.
Suggs always plays like he is on cocaine. Its just sometimes he fouls way too early in the first and cant play too much in the first half
Pistons fan here. Magic played much better, pistons looked like they didn't know what they were doing. They tried to find open 3s and changed their mind on the move. Pistons was totally off. They weren't ready in their mind for this game. This series will be so fun. Even if my team was not playing good game was really fun, not like other rd1 games which were totally boring. Magic was ready mentally and nearly all their contested shots enden in the basket. Suggs was phenomenal, Banchero was really good. Congrats to Magic, but i still think Pistons will go to the 2nd round. This team never played this bad consecutively, they always adjust and outhustle the opponent. Neither harris nor jenkins will shoot with these percentages again. Jenkins shot 1/7.

The pistons are done. Outside of Cade they don’t have the scorers that are built for the physicality of the playoffs.
