The Thunder need to move out about 30 million in players in the offseason to get under the 2nd apron. They will need to use these picks to replace some of the depth they will lose this offseason. Good news is they should be able to add some future picks when they send out some of there redundent depth
they did not get jalen williams from the clippers trade. yes, they used their 12th pick on him which came from the clippers, but they had also traded up to 11 and took ousmane dieng there. they valued williams more and would have taken him at 11 except as a draft night deal, it had the potential to fall apart, so they used the safer pick on the guy they wanted more. so they got ousmane dieng with that pick.
And they have Sorber and Topic waiting to get some time on the court next season. I think they’ll let Hartenstein walk and trade the pick (unless it hits top 6) to get a pick down the road.
