Herb Jones is overrated. I rather keep the 26 pick. Jones is going to eat up too much salary. I rather spend 3 to 4 mil on a rookie with upside than 15 mil on a declining defensive player with no offense. We should save the extra money and use it for a big star

The pelicans are loaded with good players and herb didn't help them at all. He's not a good offensive player. And his defense has declined. You shouldn't take a guy and say well he wasnt good on that team but he'll be good on this team. good players are good on any team
Herb would be a solid pickup as I'd consider him a great to elite 3 and D player when he's at his best. Ik this season he didn't look as good but lets be real him being on a bad pelicans team that loses every game probably means he's not putting in a ton of effort each game that he would if he was on a better team. That being said I think we need to be careful with what we do with our first round pick in this years draft. This is supposed to be a loaded draft and could potentially have good rotation level players up until 30s into early 2nd round. Getting someone who's 19 or 20 who can potentially be a rotation player in year 1 next year and be on a cheap rookie contract would be a pretty big deal. I'd prefer to keep our first. If pelicans are offering Herb for a first I'd do it for a future first probably.
As for the whole Reaves trade stuff again the earliest we would see any possibility of that would be at trade deadline but more realistically next summer. When he signs his contract with us he won't be eligible to be traded until like mid December i believe earliest and. I dont think we are considering trading Reaves anytime soon. Atleast not until we see how he does in his next playoff series.

How do we know that Adou Thiero can’t be Herb Jones ? We need an upgrade at center either in the draft or via trade . This is a great draft and some studs available which is why many teams tanked . If we are hell bent on getting Herb, how about bringing in Yves Missi as well ?
i only do herb trade if players like amari allen, dailyn swain, cam carr, thomas haugh and tounde is gone but if players like these is still available im not trading my pick for herb
