17. Patrick Williams will be better with a different head coach who allows him to shoot the midrange more. He won’t be a starter but he will actually be a good bench player. Ayo has showed that it was Billy’s flawed offensive game plan that held him back from being a true starter because he can shoot midrange shots now and is playing more freely.

18. Not necessarily a hot take but I think people need to broaden their perspective of who Chicago could pursue within the next two years. The two plans I have in my mind currently are either fighting for Tari Eason since he should be relatively attainable as a RFA and Jon Scheyer to fill our coaching spot this season or waiting for next season and bidding on Ausar Thompson and a coach like Ime Udoka. I just like the idea of these defensive wings or keeping Eason next to Giddey as a defender who spaces the floor well more than getting Walker Kessler this season

22. A lot of people in the comments need to understand that we have a completely new front office coming in and they should look at EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY. This was one of the worst teams in the league post deadline. We should absolutely put Josh Giddy on the block and see what we can get for him. He’s not the best player on a championship team and his size and ability (not saying he’s a bad player) can get us valuable draft capital. We can’t be married to what we had before, we need to be open to what needs to be done to finally fix this franchise.
