First
amazing refresh
Grand rising hope all is well with your beautiful family. THANKS š for keeping us in the know š
Man I miss Ayo (and not just cause he's balling). I never understood why he was a 2nd round pick and it was the one of the few things AK actually did right by drafting him. Just glad people outside of Illini and Bulls fans are finally realizing how good he is… just wish the Bulls FO did….
That only applies for when a player is traded and under contract. You can sign any free agent you want. There are no rules against signing any free agents
Are they looking for a combo where president and GM are the same? Or is Lloyd now being eyed as the president of basketball operation and someone else as gm?
Graham's likely to cost the least due to his lack of experience and success in the role…which likely makes him the most likely to get the job… Cuz the owners still value money over all
I miss ayo, but no, he deserves to be in a playoff team & winning culture.
They should be poaching from OKC but of course this is the Bulls.
I respect your grind but you have an unhealthy attachment to high floor low ceiling moves. Matt Lloyd was part of a solid draft regime but by no means were the bulls drafting world beaters outside of lucking until DRose with a 1% chance. Orlando was terrible for a decade until Lloyd left in 22. Not only that Lloyd was part of a regime that TRADED UP for Rob Dillingham in a weak 2024 draft. Plus Timberwolves havenāt came close to the WCF since trading KAT (to duck the 2nd apron). Ayo move wasnāt a āfleeceā he was an expiring contract and everyone knew bulls were desperate to sell instead of losing him for nothing. Graham on the other hand helped in providing the talent in NO. Injuries and bad coaching is out of his control. Iām not sure what head scratching moves you were referring to that Graham made but you also left out he was on the other side of building a playoff roster in ATL all while acquiring a lottery pick in the process. Hands down Lindsey is the best candidate but definitely not understanding your angle on propping up Matt Lloyd and dumping on Graham. Iām lost
Im 44 this year and i may not see another bulls championship in my lifetime.
The rule is that players traded and waived cannot be resigned by the team that traded them to stop salary manipulation, but the bulls are allowed to resign Ayo this offseason and if they do it suddenly turns one of the worst trades in recent bulls history to one of the best getting free second round picks and a few project players just to loan out Ayo so we can tank and he can get some real playoff experience
Ayo is not coming back. Heās thriving away from this horrible franchise and good for him. He deserves it.
The trade restriction expires on July 1st. Ayo is also a free agent on top of that so he can sign wherever he wants
Letās not expect to get lucky
Agree with you on Matt Lloyd. It makes too much sense on paper but also, I think he would ultimately be able to sway a great coach in Micah Nori to come over as well.
This would simplify a lot of the efforts (ahead of May 10th) in finding a new head coach. Iām sure this is a key driver in Matt Lloydās candidacy and what he may be communicating to the bulls as a result of being the favorite.
Dennis Lindsey
Ben Gordon was drafted over Andre Iguodala that was a draft pick that no matter how good Ben was and yes he great moments but Andre and Deng with Hinrich would of been substantially better.
Bulls drafting Derrick rose wasnāt as clear as you might think . Bulls had a 26 year old Kirk hinrich who was playing well . A lot of speculation bulls was getting Michael Beasley as he was a top talent and addressed a need at the time
I feel sorry for whomever has to work for this ownership.
Once the season is over a player traaaded during that past season can come back to the team that traded him – key point – its not the same season
Matt Lloyd as GM and Dan Hurley as HC is my dream scenario
