Panathinaikos never trailed and outlasted Valencia 67-68 in a thrilling series opener. Kendrick Nunn scored 7 points in the first 2 minutes, sparking the Greens to an early 5-15 lead. It was 17-23 after 10 minutes, and little changed in a defense-dominated second quarter as the interval arrived with Panathinaikos up, 32-39.

Braxton Key scored 8 points in the third frame to bring the hosts closer, 49-54. A trio of scores from Kam Taylor kept pushing Valencia and it was tied, 67-67, with 24 seconds left. Then Nunn was fouled in the act of shooting, and held his nerve from the line for the win.

Nunn paced Panathinaikos with 21 points, supported by the energy of Mathias Lessort with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while TJ Shorts also scored 12. Jean Montero top scored for Valencia with 15 points, Key added 12 and Taylor scored 11 for the hosts, who paid the price for only making 6 of 33 three-point attempts. Panathinaikos lacked offensive fluency, only dishing 10 assists with 11 turnovers, but the Greens showed enough defensive resolve to grab a priceless win.

  18. For uneducated basketball people who commented that it was foul and not the block: “The ball is considered part of the hand while the player is holding it or while it is in contact with it.” Learn the basketball rules first. Nunn was still holding the ball at that moment.

Το μπλοκ πανό στον Kendrick Nun στο 5:41 η 5:52 δείχνει το χαμηλό επίπεδο διαιτησίας στην Ευρωλίγκα, ένα ξεκάθαρο φάουλ του Badio πιάνει η επαφή από τον καρπό μέχρι την παλάμη ολόκληρη πιο ξεκάθαρο δεν γίνεται δεν λέω για δόλο από τη διαιτησία μιλάω για το επίπεδο της Ευρωλίγκα δεν αξίζει τέτοιους διαιτητές χαμηλού επιπέδου το ρίχνει το προϊόν όλο το χρόνο βλέπομαι τραγικά πράγματα και οκ μια ομάδα που προστατεύουν το ξέρει όλη η Ευρώπη ότι η ομάδα με τα κόκκινα και το λιμάνι είναι η ευνομούμενη της Ευρωλίγκα!!!
