JOKIC WATCH: Can the Miami Heat LAND Nikola Jokic and Transform Their Future in 2027?

Miami Heat eye bold future: could Nikola Jokic join forces with Bam Adebayo in South Beach? As the Denver Nuggets face uncertainty after a tough exit against the Minnesota Timberwolves, speculation grows around Jokic’s potential free agency and Pat Riley’s “Operation 27” plan to transform the Heat roster in summer 2027.

Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down Miami’s strategy for cap space, the ripple effects on Tyler Herro’s contract, and possible departures for key veterans like Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins. The duo explores the exciting on-court possibilities of a Jokic-Bam pairing, the Heat’s flexibility to chase other stars—like Donovan Mitchell or Giannis Antetokounmpo—and the impact of the NBA’s lottery reform on Miami’s long-term rebuilding. Will “Operation 27” launch the Heat back into title contention, or is it a risky waiting game?

  1. Heat Nation – GOOD afternoon and Happy FRIDAY!!!! Of all the potential FA's the Joker is the ONE, I would focus on. The GREATEST factor, he's less injury prone compared to Giannis and Leonard. Could Joker and Bam co-exist, I'M NOT SURE?🤔

  2. please stop it with the click bait fellas. Do not undermine your quality show just for some views on dead time. Perhaps take a break? The Joker is NEVER going to play in Miami in a Miami HEAT uni. That just is NOT going to happen. Here is a suggestion – FEED our Nikola – JOVIK – alot of rice and beans and pork and fatten him up another say – 150 pounds of muscle and fat and then…. we can have something closer to the Joker – except he is still Jovik and not Jokic so yeah – never mind! sheese!

  3. Jokic and Bam might even be better than Jokic and Aaron Gordon! 😂…….Bam barely ever played with anybody with anybody who is a “good – great playmaker”

  4. I love watching you guys, but this episode is just stupid. IMO. You guys are missing the MAIN point why jokic or top players don't reach free agency, because they have no incentive to do so, they're not going to leave money on table, if jokic leaves Denver he will take less money (and a year less) with the new CBA, players sign their extension then ask to leave…

  5. I don’t think we’re talking about reality here, but sure. I’ll take Jokic. He’ll whip Niko into shape.

I think if we’re building around Bam, we should consider emulating Minnesota or Orlando, and try to get a tall, athletic, switchable defensive wing like Jaden McDaniels. Have a front court that’s going to be a nightmare for everyone. It would be one of the easier paths forward for us since we already have Bam and Ware.

If we get into the top 4, take Caleb Wilson (unless Dybantsa is available). At 13 we can go either Yaxel, Mara, or Dailyn Swain. Or try to trade for Jaden McDaniels.

  6. Why would the Heat want Jokic. He can't play defense and hasn't helped his team even come close to winning another chip after beating an overmatched 23' Heat team, full of undrafted, G-league players, smh

  7. Conspiracy theory: do you think Joker and Giannis is why the Heat haven't officially hired Goran yet?? Maybe he can have conversations with guys that official team reps can't??

  8. unless Bam is in the trade package, why would Denver pick up the phone? especially if it's a bidding war. this ain't the Lakers and the league's handshake deal.

  9. I mean it is very possible that Jovic has spent the last two years recruiting Joker. They are Serbian teammates. Maybe the Joker is starting to consider Miami?? 🤷‍♂️ Joker and Bam would owned the east.

  10. Unfortunately Joker said in his press conference that he wants to be a Nugget for life. And why would Denver trade him? Nonsense topic.

  11. Joker is not leaving Denver and Denver isn't gonna do what Dallas did…and trade him…Stopppppp this…..come upvwith some other dumb trade

  12. @lockedonheat I really enjoyed listening to your program this season and beyond. BEST locked on channel period. This will be my last statement until it happens: GIANNIS WILL PLAY FOR PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS next season. Go Blazers Go Heat

  13. Backing up my point about how these 2 KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE NBA: LeBron was 25 years old when he came to the Heat, NOT 28 or 29!?! LeBron LEFT the Heat when he was 29. We need & deserve new people on Locked on Heat. This has gotten ridiculous & embarrassing

  14. The problem is there is no supporting cast for Bam; if there was a supporting cast Bam could lead the Heat just like Haliburton leads the Pacers. The multiple star structure is no longer functional.

  15. Even the podcasts about the Heat are delusional and desperate just like the front office. Have some shame and stop trying to dirty mack other teams homegrown talent
