Trading Markkenan isn't happening. Picks in the future are meaningless. Its been 4 years of tanking. Who gives 2 shits about a pick 3 to 5 years from now that would take two to three additional years to develop?
And please don't be so naive… about 99 percent of the trade rumors that these "experts" announce never happen. They have to have something to say to justify their salaries. Of course they have incentive to make up any rumor that would get them clicks, ratings, views, or other attention.

Magic have played well in the playoffs, sure you can say they've been underwhelming but they've played well.
It's the nba. Except maybe 4-5 players, everyone can be moved at any time for the right price.
Specifically, Lauri's price now is high both because of his skills and the jazz's trajectory of competing now.
I think that the jazz might be a very passive player in the trade market, just because of their new position.

Lauri's contract ends on the year Jazz is supposed to be a real challeneger, sell him high, and young core will be champs. and you can pay everyone from Ace, aj to walker,
