Riley mentioned that he wants the Heat to have cap space in 2027 to remain flexible. This makes it incredibly likely that Miami doesn’t extend Jaime Jaquez Jr., Andrew Wiggins, or Tyler Herro. Norman Powell, unrestricted free agent, is also unlikely to re-sign with the Heat on a multi-year contract. Pat Riley on the Miami Heat 2026 offseason:
“I think right now we have to show a level of discipline in extending out contracts or big-money contracts. I think you’ve got to be a little bit careful with that. It’s not an indictment against any of our guys.”

  1. Would u rather Miami give up all the depht and picks this summer for a star and run Star + Bam and little else or Punt on this offseason and just add a mid level player and possibly sign a star next year and keep the assets and depht

  2. As someone who wants to see the Denver sports do well, the Nugget organization don't deserve him and I'll always be on the player side.

If Joker is serious about winning another championship while he can contribute, he needs to leave. But he's too lazy to do that so he'll be a Nugget till the Nuggets trade him after he started declining (and I have no doubt they will trade Joker one day).

  3. The 2027 year is absolutely insane in free agents. Hopefully a couple of those players become available during that year for trade. I would say trade everybody you can for picks and tank this year. Get a good draft pick and sign a player or two. Same thing we did for the big 3. I would love Spida. I don’t think we should trade or sign for a 37 or 38 year old.

  4. You can retrain everyone except Powell and Fontecchio, I believe. You don’t need cap space to sign your own players. You would just have to do things in the right order and be ok with being higher in the tax.

  5. I actually don’t hate the plan. It just makes it even dumber that we weren’t more aggressive sellers at the trade deadline.

They say they don’t tank, but when you’re playing for 2027, not improving in the present, you kind of are tanking. And without a big trade (which i actually don’t want to happen) you will be spiritually tanking again this season. It also makes me more pissed that they didn’t play Ware much more, don’t put Kas on ball more, didn’t try harder to get your 4 year investment in Jovic going, didn’t give Keshad any run despite giving good minutes whenever they called on him, etc.

  6. Same story every off season, can't make a move this summer because we're saving cap space for next summer. It's all cap. The Heat front office is all about making more money for Mickey the Greedy Billionnaire. That's right.

  7. Trade Herro, Wiggins,Powell, & Jovic
Keep JJJ & Larson at all cost.
It’d be nice to keep Ware but thats goin to be near impossible if Pat really wants to go for that 🐋
And also having Mitchell stay off the bench would be great.

  8. Except for ✅jĂ´kĂc, Nothing worthy of note in list. ➡️ and that's even if he's interested @ all in leaving Denver. Grab 🔥philon in the draft — potent & a much- needed fit. 💥Keep jacquĂŠz

  9. There is another way to be able to keep Herro and preserve depth in this. Giannis would need to sign as a free agent in 2027.

For example if you trade Wiggins, Jaquez, & 2 1sts round picks this season for Trey Murphy. (Wiggins can be flipped for more assets by the Pelicans and Jaquez needs an extension). You get Trey's bird rights which would allow you to sign him over the cap and use the raw cap space to sign Giannis while Herro would need to take a 30-35 mil a year extension. Quentin Grimes could be had for cheap for either the 6th man role or starting next to Herro as the POA defender. Only issue is they would have to let Davion walk since Kas would take over his spot.
    A lineup of either
    Kas/Herro/Trey/Giannis/Bam or
    Herro/Grimes/Trey/Giannis/Bam
solves the shooting issue they would have if they gut their roster by trading for Giannis instead. A bench led by Kas, Ware, & Jovic with either Herro or Grimes staggering as the scorer for this 2nd unit would be great.
