1. He's doing his best for a 23 year old foreign guy who didn't know English to start with . He wasn't a number one or two draft . He had to deal with NBA level players at 19 in a shit team like Houston . They made the playoffs twice in a row for god's sake . I'm only watching the NBA because he's playing . İ stopped when the Phoenix Suns lost the finals to the Bulls . Today's game is shit . Watching a 7'4 guy shooting a three pointer, really ?

One would think a older player guy/gal should be able to teach a new generation enriched and refined knowledge and overall teach to be better but Udoka wasn't Great as a player he was a Role player and dosnt seem like the high I.Q. type when we look at how he teaches or has taught himself at all the levels of the game.

   He might be charismatic when talking about being "tough" but as far as x and ohs and knowing how to make guys offensively successful this guy is a complete and utter failure.

   I mean imagine someone with far less talent and Instinct than you trying to teach you about something that's almost foreign to them but second nature to you. Such a bust of a season, hopefully some changes are made, I can't see Tillman Fertitta being able to tolerate this obvious dysfunction, incompetence and embarrassment much longer.

   I appreciate them for giving that man a second chance and a good swing at it but yeah experiment over.

14. He no doubtely had a big setback (or non-progression) from what we were expecting this year, and that's on him. He's young and talented, but flawed. It'll take skill and hard work to get over the hump talent has carried him this far. I hope he sees this rating and comes back with a vengeance because he seems to want the real feedback and uses it as fuel to grow. This whole team could get that rating TBH. 16. When he starts to average 35 ppg 20 rpg 20 apg, he won't be overrated, people will be content. He made 20.4/8.9/6.2 without a pg, creating most of his own scores by forcing, almost zero game set for him to score, isolations, few pick and rolls etc. I think he under delivered this season, but come on, IME has no idea about offense, and even his defensive coaching is a question.

17. We need a shot blocking defense specialist to play along side Alp. He is very skilled offensively but needs help defensively. I wouldnt trade him. If we trade anybody it should be Durant. He is soft and a cancer where ever he goes.

    2. He's not a US citizen.
    3. He complains to the referees too much during the game.
    4. He comes from a Muslim-majority country. This inevitably creates some cultural differences and prejudices.

    Furthermore, the fact that such a young player was selected as an All-Star twice in a row might not be pleasing to some players.
    NBA didn't show Jokice the respect he deserved quickly.

20. That those who act as if Alperen is solely responsible for Houston's season-long fluctuations and playoff failures don't understand much about basketball and are somewhat blindly following a sheep instinct.

    They played without their main point guard throughout the season, and didn't bother to bring in a replacement. Adams, who makes a difference in defense and rebounding, was also injured.

    All these absences put extra pressure on Alperen both offensively and defensively. It's also clear that the coach couldn't implement a good offensive plan and couldn't get the maximum out of the players.

    Alperen also has his flaws and shortcomings, of course. He still has room for improvement.

    Let's not forget that he had a fantastic tournament with the national team last summer and reached the final.

    I think the biggest problem in Houston is the coach and management issues plus toxic players (KD).
