Ayeeeee what’s up Ben 😁
Ayeeee
@benrogers the draft was a disaster as 6th pick for brandon ingram is a catastrophie. it goes to show every time bobby and masai tried to speed up the time line, they fawked it up royally. and brandon ingram for 6th pick was one of many fawk ups in a whole line of fawk ups.
i would say masai and bobby post championship are in the category of 4 dumbest front offices in the league with bulls, kings and pelicans.
we have to hope bobby webster isnt the sequel to dumb and dumber.
BEN, A POSITIVE NOTE IS THE PICK ENDED UP IN THE WEST !! NO HARM NO FOUL !!
Okay so AD ends up somewhere else. Great for Washington as long as it is NOT IN TORONTO !! NOT STREET CLOTHES !!
Crazy. Low IQ takes(No pun). People do not know how difficult it is to get stars in Canada. Our tax system is horrendous. We have to over pay to compete with low tax states. Brandon had a great season. He had an injury give the guy a break.
Its not that Davis only played 20 games this year it is he only played 9 the year before and the two previous years if you add them together they are not much more than a full season. So no idea what Ben is saying here if Davis is healthy the guy is done and makes 58 million, anyone that resigns he for more than 20 million will regret it
The only way I do that deal is you get rid of Quickly and Poelt and you get Davis to agree in writing he is not picking up his option and suffer one year of Davis on the books playing only 10-20 games
BIG BEN
The thing with Bi is that we traded some assets for him when he was going to be a free agent. Then, when he arrived, we gave him a huge contract, and we didn't even play him. Then in the summer his agent said that there was no one else who could have paid him that money. in hindsight, we could have got him in the off season for less and kept the pick as well.
BI has played the most of amount games since he was rookie. He became a 2x All Star, whenever he’s on the floor other teams have to double team him because of his mid range. How in the world would anyone really see this pick playing out the way it did?? Not possible. Besides the pick is gone to the Clippers (West), not everything has be about panic. Did anyone really predicts the Mavs were gonna get Cooper Flag last year?? Highly doubt it. Sometimes this is just how things go in sports.
I hope raptors just stand pat and keep pushing. We are getting better day by day. We should get a great player at 19. But pick 50 won’t be good. So many went back to school
Ben it’s so stupid what you’re doing. No the pick wasn’t going to be 5. When we traded it it was not that. It’s so stupid and a waste of breath. You’re just stirring the pot for no reason. That pick has been traded Mutliple times.
I loved OG as a Raptor but he's always injured 🙄
We should be super happy where we are at as a fan base and organization. We just made a giant leap, yet people always look for negatives. We are in an awesome spot. Have all of our draft picks, a really young team to. Once garret temple moves on we are super young. Poetle will be our oldest player at 30. Ya that contract is lookin bad now. But whatever. It is what it is. We deal with it and move on. I wouldn’t make any big trades. Build around the edges. Add an awesome player at 19 and move on
I was so pissed when we traded OG
Ingram has been awesome for us. He was playing through injury too. He just had surgery on his foot. You don’t do that if it’s nothing. So that’s an awesome sign. We turned Ingram back into an all star which raised his value even more. Super happy where we are at. We have an awesome team and they are young and all love each other.
To be fair i doubt indiana purposely tanks super hard late in the season sitting some of their non injured guys if the raptors still had their pick. Main reason they did was because of the clippers protection so i doubt it would have landed in top 5 in that time line
AD is injury prone. He is good but the risk is not worth it
BI was injured this playoffs – what dummee is holding 100% evaluation on him?
OG has played in 2 playoffs since being traded, and twice the Knicks were bounced with playing atrocious defense. It cost the coach his job. This year – they have played nobody, two play-in teams, so the numbers are tainted.
My Point: You can't "evaluate" part way through, when a player is at his high or at his low. Next season, BI could rip through the playoffs, he might not – still be the same position as OG till this season.
The east is getting a lot better
Bobby Webster is an idiot he did the Jacob deal
ABOUT DRAFTS:
"Experts" are not even 50% right – media or decision makers. It's a crapshoot of false confidence needing lots of luck. Roughly 13% of number 1 overall picks in the NBA have gone onto win the Larry O. Roughly 25-30% of number 1 overall pick in the NHL have gone onto win a cup. MLB doesn't stat a number – just says relatively low. Those numbers shrink fast every pick after #1. The highest potential comes in at less than a 1/3rd of a chance.
To say "It's a deep draft" is dummee common narrative to grab headlines – its always either "strong" or "weak" and they play the angle – and is usually wrong. Last year in the NHL they said weak draft – the greatest 1st overall pick since McDavid went number 1 overall in that "weak" draft. They said last year was "weak" in the NBA, and we got a stud (after we fell to 9th – and the hockey-whytes criticised it). They said Giannis' draft year was "weak" – and look at the studs that came out of that draft.
Meh… This is just a bunch of noise Ben. The Raptors do not need AD (Always Disabled) to keep their bench warm.
AD is too old and too fragile, basically a supercharged Jakob type asset. If he gets injured again, his trade worth will fall exponentially. High upside but very low downside. Not worth it at all
BI has made and brought the winner out of this team. The Raptors aren’t too far away from contending, just draft a Center like Chris Cenac or Hannes Stienbach.
What a waste of time watching this
Mans better make room for RJ is all I’m going to say 😂😂
Based off our playoff series only 2 mans from the starting rotation deserve their money, RJ and Scottie.
As long as they don't trade Ingram unless you're trading Ingram and you're getting Sabonis okay
To be fair, we never should have traded for Ingram. We should have picked them up in free agency and because he had an injury you would have been able to get him for cheap
I would make that trade again today. Ingram is an Allstar and will probably be better than the 5th pick for the next 5 years. He was hurt in the playoffs. Go Brandon!!!!
