  1. Please don’t trade up to #1. It’s not worth it. You’d have to give the Wizards a haul, and probably would have to part with Ace Bailey.

I will cry real tears if they trade Ace. Then, all we’d have to show for the rebuild is AJ, Cody Williams, Sensabaugh, Collier, Flip, Keyonte.

Keep all of those guys and Ace Bailey and DP would fit seamlessly into the lineup. Ace was barely 19 at the start of the season, and finished 14/4/2 with 0.8 STL, 0.7 BLK.

As a starter, he was close to 20 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 2 APG, 1.1 STL, 1 BLK.

He isn’t even close to his prime. It would break my heart to see Ace on Washington. It isn’t worth it to get a guy that is maybe marginally better than Darryn, and is a worse fit overall. Plus Darryn is a better defender by far, and we need defense- especially in the guard position. The frontcourt is crowded as it is.

Take whom you can get. If Washington takes Darryn- take AJ (as there’s a zero percent chance they take anybody else if AJ is on the board), if Washington takes AJ, take Darryn.

Washington isn’t stupid. They know that AJ wants to be on Utah, and Utah wants AJ. They won’t make it easy on us if we want to move up to take him. Both are S-tier prospects. If Washington takes one, take the other. Then we don’t have to sign or trade for a higher-level guard anyway.

  2. The tittle-tattle about Ace Bailey allowed him to fall into our hands. The gossip about DP is the same. The tape doesn’t lie. Dybansta will not be a bust. Neither will Peterson. Either of these guys is a 1A-1B in my view. I am enamored with Wilson and Boozer as well. All I know is that the Jazz just won a big gift and I am very happy with the result.

  3. At first I was thinking AJ or Booze II, but Peterson is an amazing number 2 pick. Immediate threat and ROY candidate. Air Peterson (Darryn) and Air Bailey combined with Keyonte and the current roster, looks like great potential.

  4. YES move up. He'll re-sign. Don't trade Ace or Keyonte only 7th on roster and down. Plus picks. Or stand pat or trade down for Wilson or boozer if someone wants Deren.

  5. I’m just grateful to have this “problem” of choosing the 2nd pick! I really thought this year would turn out way worse when we became the poster team for tanking and got the big fine! Yes 1rst pick would’ve been better but I’m not complaining🙌🏼

  6. I feel like since feeling down at last years lottery they’ve actually been catching breaks for one. Getting Ace at 5 was good, you could justify ace going 1st if it was the year before. Clayton falling to them was nice. But I thought Bailey would be the trade piece for the inevitable veteran trade, but that smoothed over and we get to keep him and give up Clayton instead, taking advantage of the grizzlies blow up to fill a big need on defense and now we get lucky getting to 2 and we could very well get the better player at 2. Plus lebron could retire and we don’t know what’s gonna happen with the Lakers next year.

  7. Turns out plenty of Wizard fans really h8 the Jazz for taking Ace… as if the Jazz owed them something, simply due to a player saying he wants to go there.
Now that the Wizards are picking in front of us, their fans’ trade ideas are somewhere between wild, and wholesaling the entire Jazz organization for AJ 😂

If he’s the next SGA, yeah trade whatever. BUT you cant know that from one year in college! Reminder that SGA was picked 11th.

  8. Hell no, take Peterson, keep Ace and if he loves Utah so much he can come back as a free agent later when our older players are on the downside. Peterson could also be a top 5 player.

  9. Anyone of these top 4 picks could be a top 8 player. Jazz just need to figure out which one of the remaining 3 is the best. I'm not so sure that Caleb Wilson isn't going to be the best player in this draft. The mechanics of Caleb's shot looks good and I think he can get his shooting percentage much better. He will dominate on the defensive end of the court. How about the Jazz trade down with Chicago if they can get Caleb at 4 and get Chicago's 15th pick and grab Mara or someone else who has promise.

  10. I only listen to this when there is huge Jazz news and I’m trying to consume as much content as possible.

The amount of commercials to real content in this podcast makes me remember why I called it Locked on Commercials

  11. The only thing I would give up to get the 1st pick is the 2nd pick and next year's 1st round pick (2nd best of Cleveland/Minnesota/utah). Anything else, just take Peterson. Both will be amazing!

  12. I want to trade up for AJ for one reason, even if he isn't as good as Peterson at least he's a kid familiar with Utah and easy to root for.

  13. We’re not gonna trade up …why do we need AJ…. DP has ice water in his veins. He’s clutch. He runs the offense he’s going to be the cornerstone.
