  1. As a Jazz fan, I was really hoping that the Kings and Jazz would've gotten the top two picks. The new lottery reform system is a gross overreaction to this year's unique draft. The league's gotta do a better job of helping the bad teams get better. I'm pulling for you guys.

  2. The Kings did not mock the system. I content, had the Kings done what other teams did, we would have gotten the stick. We were looked at for one, dumb call.

  3. I think the punishment for taking should be a 5 or 10 mil cap hit in the current and the following nba year the infrastructure took place in. Make it hurt where the owners n fans won't want it because it will impact the team they can put on the court

  4. Spare me the morality play. I’m in agreement that there SHOULD be huge penalties for tanking but the fact is there aren’t. The Jazz played within the rules better than we did, and yes we TANKED, just poorly. It’s chess not checkers and our pursuit of some “basketball gods” favor cost us a much better pick. The Utah Jazz literally paid a couple hundred grand for a pick 5 spots better than ours. I’m still gonna be stoked on whoever we pick, but let’s not act like the wiz and jazz “cheated”. They knew the game they were playing and played it better than us.

  5. The problem for the kings is they are already "linked" to Acuff – putting pressure on themselves to take him whether he is the right fit or not.

  6. I just hope the Clippers and the Nets are too stupid to pick Mara, so he's there for the Kings at #7. The Yahoo mock already has Mara going to the Hawks at #8.

  7. He act like the jazz are the first team to start tanking. Tanking be happening for years. The kings were also tanking certain games down the stretch

  8. Yo… 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️… I know and understand everybody’s concerns with Darius Acuff… But i watched him all season long and I feel like he’s perfect for this new era of Kings basketball 💯💯💯… I like Flemings but he reminds me a lot of Dfox but he’s more of a playmaker than a scorer… I think da Clippers are gonna snatch up wagler but I don’t like him anyway, when I use to watch his team i found myself watching Andre stojakavic who I really like while wagler was playing off ball letting lil Peja cook up… But I really wanna see Acuff in Sacramento with the RIGHT PIECES around him, BUMP what everybody talkin bout nobody can change my mind about it 💪🏾👑👑👑

  9. D low and KC idea just get the pick right is really unfair. Your odds when 1-4 is a hell of a lot higher than later picks. You’re ignoring/being irresponsible with the difference in pick levels. Ham is so much better at representing fans.

  10. I actually fw that kenny don’t be a yes man when it comes to ham goin on one of his passionate takes . Which most of the times ham will give his opinion then back it up with historic nba facts that he just be keeping in the back of his dome. But when he starts to give his takes that comes off as if anyone else thinks otherwise your just dumb and. Kenny be shutting that shit down then makes ham pull some shit out of his ass creating his own version of history thinking everyone will blow past it because he’s just the smartest man in the room 😂😂😂😂

  11. Ham with the doesn’t play defense shit is hella dramatic. And ham doesn’t even watch college ball like that so all hes doing is hearing it from other people saying it. But if he actually watched which was dlo whole point made right before he said he doesn’t play defense.. acuffs usage rate and work load on that team is something he’s not even taking into consideration, and the defense talk only started when acuff ess playing injured

  12. "isn't the plot to win basketball games?" no the way the league works the plot is to win championships. nobody cares how many games you win if you don't win when it counts. If Detroit lost to the Magic the majority of their perceived value would be the fact their team might come back and do better for the next several years in the postseason not the number of regular season games they'd win next year. in certain instances right now it's strategically valuable to lose basketball games. and now we see the results of not doing that. I'd be happy to go through the odds and explain how we had virtually 0% chance to do any worse than we did if we had lost more games and stayed lower ranked.

The only value in winning games day to day is for the impatient rich fans who paid for a seat who need little Timmy to see the team win tonight. Sorry Timmy, it's a 50/50 chance your team loses. Have dad teach you about the long game. With plans like we have now Timmy's gonna see a lot more losing in the long run than if you just let the young players get some minutes tonight.

You want to change the system? fine. you want to punish people for throwing? great. but right now that's not how teams have a reliable path forward to get good. and maybe while you're at it have real balls and incentivize players to go to small markets to balance out their tendency toward big ones. But of course we'd never do that. The NBA thinks the league isn't doing well unless the Lakers and other more important franchises are always on the winning side of the brackets. A sentiment I hear constantly repeated by the media. How we just have to have a league where these special flower teams are always good so we can build up their legend. Barf. How about we value the league and the integrity of competitive sport enough to expect parity? They just don't have the patience or will power to build up all 30 teams in a healthier way. They'd rather talk "legends" and "legacies". The societal brain rot of valuing the work some people put in over others.

And now we don't even have a reliable path to get good again which the current system has been pretty effective at doing. Detroit went from record losses to top tier. Jazz ain't gonna be bad next year because they had a reliable way to get top young talent. Wizards will be stacked. Nets are struggling more but they traded those picks to have a chance at a superteam. I could go on and on. But now the Kings get cut off from top talent with a new draft style that actively punishes the teams that will struggle most, and randomizes the rest, because the league doesn't have the balls to throw the book at people who abuse the system.
