2. Trade into a draft we traded out of…now there’s next level NBA strategy. We don’t need a draft pick, we have the Zoobster, the Zman. The answer to NBA success. A 29 year old journeyman center with no real offensive game, that should have no problem getting up and down the floor with the rest of the team. Why do we need to improve? We got rid of the only reason we lost to OKC when Turner walked and have replaced him with a far superior player, even though the stats don’t really say so.

7. I would think that this year's 2nd round….Might have some good Seniors…Because of all the freshmen in this draft. The depth this draft has.

8. Do you think it's possible for the Pacers to use their lack of rookies as a selling point for Undrafted players? Furphy's "golden child" status is mainly by default and ripe for the taking. There are always a few players that "choose" to be UDFA rather than go late in the 2nd or guys with risks that stop mattering when you're not spending a pick. Like why not take a swing on Nate Bittle if he falls? You could do an episode for "hometown" Lamar Wilkerson, Braden Smith, Trey Kaufman-Renn, and Tucker DeVries: none of whom are guaranteed picks but all of whom are at least worth a Summer League invite. Teams rarely find a Spencer Jones but every year there's a Spencer Jones: finding that spot/rotation player for free breathes a whole new life into a bench.

Here's Turners stats in his last season for the Pacers 15.6ppg 6.5 rbs 2blks.Here's Turners production with no Halliburton and playing on the Bucks,11.9ppg 5.3rbs 1.6blks.Here's Zubacs pre trade 14.4ppg 11rbs 0.8blks.Zubac is not the shot blocker that Turner is but he is a solid post defender and way better than Turner having made an all defensive 2nd team.Zubac is also one of the best screeners in the game so he's gonna get teammates buckets.Zubac won't be pushed around he handles his own against all NBA centers even the likes of Jokic,Wembanyama,and Embiid.I think it's safe to say that Zubacs production from 14.4 ppg 11rbs 0.8blks should easily transfer to 17ppg 12rbs 1blk as a Pacer with Halliburton at the helm.

12. Tony.. I gotta say.. 27:21 … why not go after trey iii now?? Id rather have him than all 3 of those guys and 2 firsts.. if you think shedding Jarace, Shep and Kam is a good idea now for a late round maybe, then.. Why wasn't waiting for a Ware or throwing more at Ainge for Kessler on the table, if you can shed those guys for another pick, Ainge might say yes to 3 picks?? That's fine with me if we're shedding them anyways and if 5th pick is included after also getting 2 this seaon, does he say no? Why did they almost trade Benn for Ayo, unless it was to try and get another asset to throw at another team?? Ayo is also an FA. Im finding it hard to understand value angles when now its a good idea to utilize those players for later round maybes (using the logic of the organization and if you think this is smart to do). Seems like you couldve utilized draft capital and players youre gonna trade anyways to help fascilitate a trade that Rockets and OKC and Spurs all stated they have no interest in disrupting thier young cores to do, ( and i believe it, Wemby isnt taking a back seat now. Do the rockets really blow up the next 6-7 years for Kevin Durant's culture and legacy hopes? I have doubts. Okc. again, they arent conceeding to Giannis' ego as a youth core) which leaves Boston (who would have to break up their already champoinchip winning core), Twolves ( wouldnt have minded also trying to poach Naz from them with my logic here, they also need a third team ) Blazers ( a legit concern ), Cleveland (also with a center to poach) and Miami ( who likely needs a third team and unless it's boston giving up jalen brown, could have been us: you throw Bucks 3 1sts including this years, 5 and 10th for their rebuild this year, send ijax Jarace along with jaquez herro rozier's expiring, maybe Jovic or jacunas? 3 of our picks including this year's 5th, Miami's 2-3 picks, that's a good haul for Bucks. Miami is content and still fat. Sign Benn to a kuminga 2 year deal and figure it out later and when the math settles, we are under the tax still.. I'm being neurotic i know and this is a slim pipe dream, but still.. the arguments i heard of managment of this deal (having NOTHING TO DO WITH Zu or his value to our team) was mostly shedding those guys you mentioned as a good idea to shed now…

13. I really like Henri Veesaar as a late round pick for the Pacers. I feel like getting a young big with high upside could be really prudent. Maybe we could do Shep and a 2nd for a late first to pick up Veesaar?

14. Ooo! In addition to my Veesaar comment maybe Pacers could do something to get a chance at taking Braden Smith as an heir apparent to TJ Mcconnell

17. A quick search suggests that the 30th pick will get a big enough contract to put us into the tax if we keep all of our current 14 players. I think the most likely move other than moving a player would be to buy a pick low enough in the second round that he'd get a small enough regular contract to fit under the tax. Buying an even lower second round pick that would only get a two-way is also possible.

18. I'd at least make the call to see if we could get a pick to take Yaxel or Ament.

20. So many unrealistic trade thoughts out there. I keep looking at it and I don’t believe the Pacers go into the tax. I just don’t see it. That leaves us with trading a player or 2 and/or trying to get a draft pick with a future draft pick. Neither help the now. No tax = very, very few options
