But he really smell STAR and he says it. He say “I want to be the leader , lead my team…” him and Caleb where the only one talking with confidence. Flemings Wagler and Brown were like “I love the city “ “I think I can fit be a bridge between Kyrie and coop…”. Dallas don’t need role players we already have this WE NEED A STAR TO PLAY WITH OUR STAR COOP. I don’t think that the other guards have not the capacity or the level to be not good but I like the b***ls of Acuff saying “Yeah man I’m here to be your best player “.

7. If we trade up, it probably needs to be with the Clippers. And we would probably need to part way with Kyrie or Lively. I’m not saying we should do it (not sure, yet). But that’s probably what it’s going to take, if the FO has conviction on going to get Wagler or Flemings. There’s just no way Brooklyn trades with Dallas if it’s Kyrie.

8. PJ and Flagg never really played well together last season. Is it time to move PJ and could the Mavs get a top 20 pick for him?

13. All I know is that any of these players except the top 4 could be available at #9 for Dallas. Hopefully Ujiri drafts the right player.

14. I do like a guy who can admit to their weaknesses. It shows self-awareness and hopefully a desire to remove any weaknesses/flaws they may have.

15. I think Kingston might be that DAWG on defense in spite of his 6'3" measurements. I'd need to hear more from him, but he absolutely has the proper mindset for a guard. You do need to know your teammates AND your enemies. And if he was able to break down the pros & cons of his teammate like that….he can apply that to his teammates and every guard/forward in the game that he'll potentially have to guard and it'll give him advantages that can overcome the "shorter arms" or whatever.

    Defense is 95% mental, 5% physical. If you have that DAWG mindset and almost a Toxic Masculinity mindset of being bigger, badder, meaner & tougher than anyone else on the court…..you can be an absolute MENACE on defense. And if you know your opponent's scouting report better than your opponent knows himself, if you've studied the game….you'll be able to jump passing lanes and see the play coming before it's even run.

    Like anyone remember that Joker moment? I think I heard it told on the Smoke podcast. Jokic took 1 look at the alignment coming out of the timeout and absolutely called out the play to the defense, move for move, like he had been in THEIR huddle. Joker surely isn't an athletic dude. And he's certainly never going to be considered a good defender. But it's his smarts that USUALLY keep him from getting dog walked by too many players in the league.

    95% mental, 5% physical. And does Kingston have that correct mental makeup to be that DAWG?? Signs point to yes?

18. At 9 draft Wagler, Brown Jr., or Burries based on who is available. Any of them is great. We need to trade up from 30 and get another top 25 pick to get Hannes Steinbach and Isaiah Evans!

    2. Brown Jr.
    3. Burries
    4. Flemmings
