The Toronto Raptors have maintained that they’re looking to build on their top 5 defense, but this is the same front office that said they were picking a “Raptorsy pick” before selecting Gradey Dick in 2023. What is clear is the Raptors have many holes on their roster, and a lot of pieces with uncertain futures on their team. The team will not draft for fit, but rather talent, and with the NBA Draft combine out of the way, let’s talk about which prospects most helped and hurt their stock at the Chicago Draft Combine this week.

  1. The interviews with Bennett Stirtz, Jayden Quaintance, Allen Graves and Chris Cernac have something in common.
    These guys are seriously ready for the NBA and emit confidence in their roles and abilities.

  2. I just watched NBA Today and Marc Spears was saying this was a very strong and deep draft–like 2021. In drawing comparisons he rattled off the greatest players that came from 2021, naming 8 or 9 of them. Guess who he left off of that list…Yep you guessed it…Scottie freakin' Barnes! I swear that show is contractually obligated to talk about the Lakers and Golden State for 40% of the show whether there is anything significant going on with those or not, then the Knicks for 20%, 20% on the WNBA, and the rest is about the other teams in the NBA–excluding the Raptors of course–unless they ever trade for a superstar. So much disrespect!

  3. Cenac and Stirtz will be there I’m sure and I have a feeling Darko will fall in love with Stirtz when he comes to workout for the Raps. Cenac has all the tools and the length the Raps want but I really don’t like his game, dude disappears during games.

  8. To continue – what exactly is this roster? As this management has created more questions than answers. Another questionable 1st round pick could preclude any future success. This draft could be a turning point for the team.

  11. Dailyn Swain I feel is the likely pick, doesn’t make a ton of sense but I have a feeling. Totally agree Bennett is going to charlotte.

  12. I believe Allen Graves is a Small forward
    Ever African related player 6"7 and up is a Center. I've never heard you list a 6"7 Europe related player as anything over a shooting guard.
    Why this ideology. You got Kyle Filipowski even though 7 ft he ger to be smaller if he wants. Let see Lauri Markkanen big ass mf.
    Now you don't even see this seven footer as a Center. Talk about easy life and money.
    But our own 6" 7 seven guys are seen as giants. Something is awfully wrong here.

  16. First 15 mins was good.
    My first choices was to scout Morez Johnson, cenac but because of the thought of them being chosen. I looked into Graves as BI replacement. A pg here would have to be exceptional because we already have 2.5 pgs.
    Not to mention we have no center since 2019.
    We haven't drafted a center since Aroujo since Calderon was pg.
    In a heavy draft you get a center or big at 19.
    At 6" 1. Nate Archibald was the best player drafted at 19. Second Zack Randolph.
    Number 19 has been mostly misses.

    Ebuka Okorie, plays more like Nate Arc than blouse and Stirtz. Graves plays more like a Randolph than Stirtz who have in second rnb behind Tyler's Tanner and Tarus Reed and crew
