We have to trade up to #5, if he's still there at #6, Brooklyn 100% will take him, trading up to #5 not only assures us we can get Acuff, there would also be a small possibility that one of the top 4 assumed picks, falls to #5, like Boozer or Wilson, maybe someone takes Acuff before #5.
As long acuff wants to go to the kings , that the only possibility they have because he's projected as number 5
Makes sense that we would acquire him through the ecosystem. At least our new GM has connections and Acuff actually wants to be here or so it sounds. We'll see how it all plays out.
Hearing that Brooklyn is really high on Acuff, we shouldn’t hold our breath on this kid

Acuff has the potential and wingspan to become a serviceable defender, while Flemmings is a good defender. Davion Mitchell has the same wingspan as Flemmings and he has no problem defending at the NBA level. Both rookies are an upgrade from what the Kings have now.
It’s crazy having a GM with connections throughout the league. Monte’s only connection was to his vest.
I think the bigger thing for Acuff is probably the chance to be a rookie starter.
I was disappointed we didn’t get a top 4 but honestly I would be so happy with acuff but I don’t think he will be there at 7. We need to trade up because I don’t think nets would care if he wants to be there or not. They would take him imo
Drafting Acuff because he is connected to his Father is silly. it’s a Pro Franchise in the business of building a winner. Shouldn’t be a factor with a Top 10 Pick unless the other prospects refuse to come to Sacramento. ISO heavy offensive guard that isn’t known for the defensive side of the ball. Kings fans have been complaining about this style of play for a couple years.

Acuff if he's there at 7.. If not, Burries is the guy for me.. Matter of fact I wouldn't mind at all if the selection is Burries even if Acuff is still on the board..
