  1. What do you make of the difference in physicality we’ve seen on both sides of this bracket? Feels like OKC might be a little surprised game 1 if the spurs bring that same energy they had with Minnesota. Spurs wing players really stepped up against the much bigger and lengthier wolves players.

  2. What are your thoughts on the physicality the refs allowed during the Wolves series, and the physicality they DON’T allow with SGA?

  3. The biggest advanatge is their depth which id defientely give to okc, now having jarred mccain, ajay mitchell, caruso and cason wallace I think will cuase the spurs problems deep into the series. With that being said, give me OKC in 6.

  4. Both teams were not 100% during the regular season. So hard to put much emphasis on that. But if J-Dub isn’t 100%, I think the Spurs win. That was such a crucial injury.

  5. We are almost in the conference finals and yet no MVP announcement
    Silver is nuts
Imagine giving sga the award on game 1 and then OKC proceeds to get bta by the spurs

  6. I think this has to be a big Jaylin Williams series he has the physical tools and IQ to cause some problems for Wemby. Adding to the spacing on the other end a 5 man lineup with him and Chet as the bigs, opening driving lanes for the quick OKC guards. Hopefully J Dub is healthy too. This could be one of the biggest series of all time

  7. If the spurs take one of the first two games, I think they got it. My bet would be on game one, the spurs jump them, and Victor creates a ton of problems as this is relatively speaking the smallest frontcourt he's seen all playoffs. Cuz Portland had big ole clingan and time lord, and Minnesota had Rudy, Naz, and randle. OKC doesn't have the same mass as those guys, so Wemby isn't going to be able to be pushed around as much. Particularly with Chet, cuz Chet holmgren normally has the length and quickness advantage over any other bigs, but Wemby is just the better version of him. I also wouldn't be surprised if the spurs try a similar strategy to what the blazers used towards the end of the first round on Wemby with Chet, by putting someone like KJ or maybe even Castle on him for stretches.

I feel like the spurs proved themselves to be a really challenging matchup for OKC all year, and they're playing the best basketball they've played all year right now and have a ton of momentum. OKC has played two inferior teams and has been able to get away with not exactly playing the best that they can, and I feel like the long break between rounds doesn't help them in that sense

  8. OKC has studied Wemby long enough, and they will attempt to get into him ala Draymond Green. OKC has the players to do it with Hartenstein, Williams, Caruso, and Dort. Chet will pull Wemby away from the paint, unlike Rudy Gobert. The return of J-Dub will probably cause chemistry issues for OKC though.

  9. The thunder will lose if they don’t bench Hartenstein, he gets played off the floor in this matchup but Mark was very hell bent on staying with the double big lineup. Can’t wait for this series hopefully it gives us all 7 like we deserve

  10. Shai has 4 seasons of 30 on 50%+, leading his team to 3 straight 1 seeds, MVP (about to be 2), Finals MVP, scoring title, clutch title. Wembanyama has 1 DPOY. Jason Timpf: "whoever plays better this series is the BITW". What an absolute clown take. Shai had to do all this + outplay Jokic head to head in the playoffs to take his crown, Wembanyama just has to exist LMAO.

Also, I hear zero arguments about OKC's experience being an advantage against Spurs' inexperience. Timpf even chooses SA to win the series. That is all I heard last year before the Denver series used against OKC, including by Timpf. Interesting double standard.

  11. This games gonna come down to how the refs officiate it. If the grifting/foul baiting/flopping OKC’s entire team does works and they get the soft whistle they’ve gotten all year SA has no shot. Castle already struggles to stay out of foul trouble as it is, so he could potentially spend more time on the bench than on the floor. If Wemby, Castle and the other guards can’t stay out of foul trouble they’re doomed

  12. Thunder didn’t struggle nearly as much against Spurs as you make it seem. Don’t forget the last game they played the thunders 2 and 3rd unit gave them a run for their money. Really the “domination” people are talking about is a 2 game stretch around Christmas the first of which the thunder were coming off of a b2b. Also worth noting that AJ Mitchell didn’t play in either of those games.

  13. OKC just won a championship and has added Mitchell and McCain to this playoff run and both could be all stars on lesser teams (Mitchell most certainly would be). I'm assuming JDub will play but I don't really know if it even matters. I think OKC will beat the spurs with or without him because of the play of mitchell. I can't see any team beating oKC in a 7 game playoff series with them having homecourt advantage. I would have to see that happen to believe it.

  14. Not even close to the Warriors-Rockets series. Nobody cares about the Thunder (except fans) because of their unnecessary flopping offensively, led by SGA; their hard fouls not being called by the refs; and SGA getting 1000 free throws a game. Views will continue to drop if the Thunder reach the finals. The NBA will soon have to decide whether to let SGA and the Thunder get away with their shenanigans or keep losing viewers. Hard pass for me and many others. I’d rather watch old NBA Finals on YouTube.

  15. Thunder had a lot of horrible shooting luck in this series against San Antonio in the regular season, they shoot about as well as they've been shooting it in the playoffs so far I think that continues and OKC wins in 6

  16. Most anticipated matchup since 2017 golden st 1st yr with Kd vs defending champ cavs who beat them in the previous yrs epic 7 game finals with no KD
