I don’t think we can have Ace coming off the bench and keep him happy. I would keep 2nd pick and draft DP. Pay Kessler. I would trade Lauri for 21st pick from Detroit + def depth. And get Steinbach as backup for Kessler. Key, DP, Ace, JJJ, Kessler. We will have plenty of scorers.

Do…not…trade…Ace!! He’s going to be a fantastic all around player! AJ is awesome, but trading a super talented player you already know doesn’t make sense. AJ is not Wemby or Cooper. DP is a pretty great consolation prize!
Stay at 2 and pick who is left of AJ and DP.
AJ can sign with the Jazz if he still wants to come after his rookie contract is done. Let the Wizards deal with convincing AJ to stay.

I don't care who Washington drafts at 1. We are not trading our pick. I want DP but I'm not going to be sad if Washington takes him and we end up with AJ. Trading up does nothing but hinder us down the road. If AJ really wants to play here, he's welcome to sign with us when his rookie contract is up.

They have been saying all sorts of ridiculous stuff ace, 2 pick and the 2031 pick. So since this entire fiasco I’ve been posing as a die hard delusional wizards fan saying crazy stuff like ace, Lauri, key, 2 pick 3 first round picks and 3 pick swaps it’s really entertaining when they think on what I say 😆

Speaking as a wizards fan, we just want AJ lol, we're not asking for the trade but the media and some jazz fans keep stirring it up, so wiz fans are saying it would take basically moving mountains to trade down. I'm just happy us and jazz fans finally can get our stars 💪
IMO I would choose Boozer over DP, continuing to start Ace at SG. Kessler hasn't signed yet. Booz is a playmaker as well which we need.
I feel the same as you. DP is both a better fit AND prospect. I love AJ but just watching DP dominate for years is SO impressive. Hope we get him. AJ is an incredible #2 though. Easy #1 in most drafts. I'm ecstatic we landed top 2!! Will be fun seeing who ascends the most out of this incredibly deep draft.
I believe DP has already been eliminated from contention at this point. Risking a #2 on DP Injury Risk after 4 years of tanking would be insane. They will take Boozer if not trading up…. so trade up.

I just feel like DP is the guy in this draft. I wouldn't draft up for AJ, but I might for DP…But probably the best thing to do is stay put and draft whoever doesn't get taken first.
