Boozer is going 2. DP had one of the strangest freshman years ever. I don’t see them gambling on a player that looked like the half the player he was year before.
That trade is the biggest overpay in the world. The cost to move from #2 to #1 os traditionally just 1 future first. No way in hell the Jazz give last year's #5, a solid backup point guard, and #2 + more picks? Seriously stupid.
If Danny thinks Peterson is a weirdo, he'll draft Boozer and trade Lauri.
I believe Ace Bailey is better than DP, Jazz pick Booz..
Darryn to Utah at 2 is very clearly the best fit and best player available. Also very much fits the Danny Ainge draft pick mold
Ultimately the medical is going to be the deciding factor. Clean? DP, easy. Not clean, Booz.
Unless the Jazz have a strong preference they should trade DOWN to 4 and get more assets along with still drafting a star player.

The idea Ainge is giving up anything to go from 2 to 1, let alone giving up Bailey, is just stupid and click bait. That is crazy stupid! Good thing for Jazz fans that Ainge isn't stupid. I think the Jazz like Ace Bailey more then any of these candidates, including AJ. So Jazz are picking 2nd and they are getting Peterson, Boozer, or Wilson and I would be very excited for whomever they take.
Not a snowball's chance in hell the Jazz entertain any trade involving Ace Bailey.
so with the assumption that Kessler comes back. this give hardy a very diverse rottion. yea LM can play the 3, but maybe better at the 4 but I think the way it will work is for the 98 min pf/center lm/jjj/kessler will each play 30ish min so I think the key is to have a brusier big to help match up against OKC/spurs a POA guard or two and a couple of wing guard.. idealy we draft boozer/peterson/aj, then we sign Keon with the mle. and trade brice/vi to pacers for furphy/jarace. then bring back Love. I think that would be the perfect off season. and amke the jazz a threat to any team. you can go small with colier/ Key/Ace/cody/JJJ just the diversity of the players and the mind of Hardy would be interesting but the best part about all this.. the jazz have no easy answers but either way they will be awesome next year
If you listen to the "insiders" in utah. Based on last year Ace was looked at by the end as a kid who could elevate to becoming a top 10 player in the league. No chance they trade that.
The jazz would never in 1 million years under any condition make that OKC trade or any other OKC trade or Spurs trade that would result in giving that team the second pic of this year‘s NBA draft. I’m sorry, but even throwing that out there, as well as the other hypotheticals, demonstrates an enormous amount of ignorance about this organization and their decision making process with what they’re trying to do in the Western Conference. You don’t give OKC your number two because you’re not only playing offense in that decision, you’re playing defense as well. They are one of two teams that you are going to have to be contending with already at the top of the West in the next two or three seasons as the jazz try to accomplish their goal of getting to the finals and winning a championship. They’re not going to give an already stacked OKC team anything more.
That trade involving the Jazz sending out Ace, collier, a 2029 first, and the 2nd overall pick is legitimately the single most insane overpay of a hypothetical trade I think I’ve ever heard.
It’s ONE spot. ONE. Why would anyone ever do that trade😂
