The NBA is going to have to get this guy to sell the team. The Blazers are basically being run by a Private Equity firm. As we all know, Private Equity owned companies=Eventual BANKRUPTCY!!!
Portland – controlled by anarchists
THE BLAZERS ARE COOKED….WELCOME TO SEATTLE 😊
say hello to your Vegas Blazers.
There have been a series of subpar player personnel directors for the Blazers over at least a decade (though the current GM is fashioning a pretty good team). There has been a staff that runs the Rose Quarter that completely underutilized the space they have and is geared towards preserving the concessions prices inside Moda Center instead of truly trying to attract crowds and customers.
Many of those people, who are now let go, are media leakers and have been able to drive media narrative.
So there was a way to sell these cuts and produce a vision of what’s going to happen going forward. Truth is that Dundon completely failed to get ahead of the narrative here. There’s tricks and some opportunities to be had here, these require some savvy and a gentle touch to go with what could happen within the Blazers’ control. Dundon just doesn’t get Portland.
Did we get spoiled with Paul Allen? Definitely. We have high expectations because someone worked to try to meet them, even if not all the decisions were good ones. Dundon has a ways to go down the learning curve here, if his intent is to stay.
Now the truth… if you had told me 10 years ago that the state of Oregon and Multnomah County were going to approve funding in short order and the only hangup would be a 6-6 draw at city council, with no initiative petition circulating to change the state’s decision, I’d wonder if I was suddenly in Utah. Truth is that this is one vote from happening, and I’d think a compromise is within reach. Should it happen? This is extortion, leave no doubt, and it’s time for the people to repossess sports from a crappy gaggle of billionaires. But this is a lot closer than most would conceive.
Wow 😮
As an Investor in a MLB Organization, I have to question this move on this NBA Franchise
Interesting yet Questionable 🔥🥃
How can Dundon be the owner when he didnt sell the Hurricanes and his net worth Including the hurricanes is only half the sale price. Who is really pulling the strings here???????????
5:00 Coca, He didnt even spend 300 million. There is something sinister at foot here.
The other owners aren’t going to allow him to move until the expansion fees have been set and received.
I understand that profits are extremely important, but why invest in sports teams if you aren’t passionate about the experience? It’s like getting a pool to raise your houses value, when you won’t get that money back on the sale. You gotta enjoy it when you have it or it’s not worth it
Sports is the entertainment business. Can't think of business which had MORE unneccessary employees. CNN has been cutting employees for years now. Has the product been affected? I have no idea as I don't watch any cable news network including Faux News. I know Tampa Bay and the Athletics are having a pretty good season and how does their employee spending compare with big dogs like the Phillies, Yankers and RedSux?
Blazres going to be moving soon.
Paul Allen Was a True Billionaire and Losing Millions each Season with the BLAZERS Meant Absolutely Nothing to Him. Portland Oregon is Not Capable of Financially Supporting a Professional Sports Franchise.
Lol no one cares about hockey
