5. masai will take gradey as a free filler, but jakob poeltl will cost 2 unprotected first for someone to eat his contract, then gafford is another first, and likely the good young player is jakobe walter. as I said gradey has no value. gradey is a salary dump basically. so a total of 3 first round picks, and jakobe walter, with gradey and jakob filler.

   so if you think thats a good deal, go away and trade away 3 first round picks and jakobe walter. gradey and jakob are filler and have no value.

6. giannis doesnt want to come to toronto. he wants new york, and likely settle for miami. in the event warriors do the trade, their ownership doesnt have a problem going into the luxury tax. where rogers wont go into luxury tax even with giannis unless the raptors first get to conference finals. giannis is a bad fit on this raptors team also as the raptors dont have the spacing or 3 pt shooting to optimize him.

   if giannis trade has jakob filler or IQ filler in the deal, that is automatically 2 unprotected first to start the coversation, then you looking at cmb, walter, martin, 2026 first and 4 unprotected first for giannis and 2 unprotected swaps for jakob poeltl or IQ filler.

   keep in mind trey murphy from pels would have cost from reports RJ, Martin and 4 unprotected first round picks. essentially RJ and martin are filler in the deal with no value.

9. That's a very good trade, the Mavs get a draft pick and Masai's boy Grady and we get a center while shedding Jak's extension.

Bucks will only trade for BI if they dont get the offers they want, and decide to extend giannis and trade him for more value in a year with more years of control to maximize his value. if thats the case, I can see bucks offering the 9th pick for BI, for portis and kuzma. if you get that offer on the table, you take it and run, as BI is a clunky fit on raptors anyways and he plays slow where darko wants to play fast. plus kuzma is a 20 million expiring that helps the raptors start fixing the cap situation. portis is an expiring in 2028 season.

    why would the bucks do this, because they can get more for giannis with a new 4 years extension and trade him after a year. as well portland owns the bucks picks, so trading for BI and maybe getting in playoffs, isnt a bad deal for 9th pick and dumping portis and kuzma.

    even if the bucks trade giannis, they will want to be competitive as portland owns their unprotected picks next few years. so the bucks will want the full picks, but also quality young guys like cmb and jakobe walter and flyer on martin. in addition the raptors picks are not valuable either.

    If Miami loses in the GA sweepstakes I would still try a BI for A Wiggins trade and BI is better offensively and AW better defensively
