NBA Draft Trades the Dallas Mavericks & Charlotte Hornets Could Make

1. As a hornets fan we not doing none of these bud. I don’t want any of y’all’s vet players their pretty shite. It’s kinda laughable how 30 and Marshall gets you the 14th pick!? Not even looking at the 18th pick lmfaooo

2. Dallas needs 4 starting centers playing 2 at a time if they want to compete with the spurs and the Thunder. Also u know there will be injuries with some of them

3. I'll say it: trade 9 for 12 and get our own pick swap in 2028 back from OKC so we control our destiny that year (even if we can't trade it)

4. We definitely could get Derek Jones back from the Clippers.

5. I’d be down with trading PJ or Gafford or both for any pick where we can realistically get Morez Johnson and keep #9.

6. The entire team is up for trading except Cooper. The bottom line is Dallas needs picks unless they completely luck out in the free agency market. Dallas will be picking in the bottom of the first round at least the next two years. That is pretty much it.

7. Naji and the 30th also will not move Dallas up. I mean, anything is possible since the Luka trade—but I highly doubt it. None of the teams above Dallas really need Naji.

21. I think the doomsday scenario is very possible and Flemmings is the one available at #9. A lot of people are mocking Mara to ATL which could save things, but it's pretty speculative. The coin flip loss became pretty a big deal.

22. 26:45 I don't agree with that. While it is true that Masai has never moved up, it wasn't for a lack of trying. He tried to move up to select Giannis in 2013. There's even some very cool footage from the draft room, with Masai negotiating with others to move up. Marc Stein also reported that Toronto was trying desperately trying to move up in 2018 to select SGA, with the Hornets eventually moving down just 1 spot instead to still get their guy. With Schmitz also being involved in some draft night trades in Portland, it wouldn't shock me if we tried to move up

23. Bring Luka back to Dallas. Trade for him. You will have a fighting chance at a title. Otherwise, you will just be stuck for the next 6 years. Luka is the only player in this league who can carry a team to the finals. Maybe Wemby. SGA is on a freaking stacked team. There is no one else.

31. If we trade back with OKC, you think they would give us the 12th and AJ Mitchell for the 9th? I mean he's been doing amazing and is going to earn himself a big contract, and OKC's big contracts are going to hit soon, and they won't be able to afford him.

32. Derek Lively is done. Per year; 55 games rookie, 36 games sophomore, 7 games last season. That is a terrible trend. Just awful. The injuries are to his right foot and the same ankle. Love the player but it is a poor business decision to keep him on the roster in hopes that that trend reverses.

    The 9 pick must be a big guard. Look at the WCF teams at guard; mostly 6'5" and up. After the 9 pick the Mavs need a big at 30 or trade up as suggested.

33. Naji and Gafford for
    14, 18, and Josh Green (to make money match).
    We pick Cam Carr at 14 and Morez Johnson at 18.
    And at 9 hopefully we draft Brown Jr or Burries.

34. I wouldn’t trade Kyrie unless we get 3 first round picks for him. We need 1st rounders for the next 3 drafts. Need young players with potential around Flagg.
