Future at the 4 CONCERNS | Miles Bridges franchise FUTURE | Moussa Snubbed
What does the future hold for the Charlotte Hornets at the power forward position? With Miles Bridges heading into an expiring contract and questions swirling about an extension, the franchise is at a crossroads. Should they keep Bridges, pursue a trade for established names like Aaron Gordon? Doug Branson and Evan Hale analyze recent trade rumors highlighted by Dan Favale’s Bleacher Report piece, discuss potential free agency moves, and weigh the merits of running it back versus making a big roster splash.
Listeners get insight on the draft flexibility provided by both the 14th and 18th picks and how that shapes Charlotte’s strategy. The duo also explores the locker room dynamic, considering how Bridges’ leadership presence compares to what new faces could bring. They question the long-term fit for Bridges—both on the court and with his off-court history—and consider what sort of trade return could reasonably be expected for him.
Plus, hear their reaction to Moussa Diabate missing out completely on All-Defensive team voting, why he might have deserved more recognition, and what it means for the Hornets’ broader playoff ambitions.

I want to meet y'all one day Doug n Walker I'm 51 n just found out I have 3 tumors n my neck I'm getting testing done to c if it's cancer or not
Cool to be infront of the camera this time
Didn’t we draft Tidjane to be our future starting 4?
Keep Miles at the three off the bench. They need to get longer and stronger to compete post season. Trade picks for a 2nd or 3rd year power forward / stretch five that is an above average defender and average or better at everything else. Add another young PG that brings rim pressure and defense. PJ Hall has Hornets DNA. Moussa could develop a jumper and corner 3. You already have Grant. No big contracts. Get younger. Miles is the backbone of the team. Whenever relevant podcasters run out of ideas for Hornets content they go directly to imaginary trades involving Miles or Melo. Blahhhhhhhhh………………………
miles is a number 3 option and that’s fine your best bet is to extend miles for a decent deal I think he’ll be team friendly and he’s said multiple times he wants to retire a hornet.. Aaron Gordon to injury prone don’t want Harris.. just upgrade at the 5 spot
I'd rather have Miles then Gordon straight up, at least Miles will be on the floor
Miles go back to the 3 get rid of williams get a 4 that can play the 5 and a 5 that could play 4
If there were a 6'9"/6'10" 20 year old that just declared for the draft out of the G'league who averaged 18 and 7 on 50/35/80 shooting across 14 regular season games then 16 and 10 in 5 G'league playoff games on a team that won the championship, a lot of teams would be interested in drafting that player as their potential 4 of the future.
That'a what Tidjane Salaun did this past year.
bigger need to upgrade at center.
Ummmm quick question lol… y would moussa be on an all defensive team? He is a high energy offensive rebound getting beast who does have sum perimeter switch-ablity skill but in no way shape or form does he do that much defensively where he would even sniff an ALL NBA DEFENSIVE TEAM line up😂😂😂😂 not yet…but ig great wishful thinking
If jaden mcdaniels comes to the hornets HE IS NOT A FUCKING 4 man that twig is a small forward SHOOTING guard secondary… we cant appease to everyones feelings now SOME-most GAMES SITUATIONAL YES you can start mcdaniels at the 4 but the most IMPORTANT games THE PLAYOFF GAMES against sum teams… KON HAS TO COME OFF THE BENCH nd tht is okay! He is a great guy a TEAM guy he understands that… nd draft a center that has shooting ability now sometimes in games u can have LAMELO, B Mill, Jaden mcdaniels, MOUSSA at the four with a rookie stretch big… THTS SIZE,strength, versatility, rebounding, ND DEFENSE
I like Jabari smith jr
Gordon too old and injury prone wouldn't trade for him for a bag of peanuts
U trade for Eason or Jabari smith
Why isn’t nobody mentioning Tidjane Saluan! He’s only 20 years old and is improving fast. Could be the answer we need. Especially with his size at the PF position, feels like ya’ll done gave up on him.
Doug has always been trying to get rid of Bridges ever since the legal troubles. I’d rather keep Bridges and bring a taller player in to be the backup we need solid depth
