The Dallas Mavericks Should Make a BOLD MOVE to Revamp the Center Rotation Around Dereck Lively II

1. Just pay Bagley some money. Or if you can somehow get naz reid without breaking the bank, do it

2. If we trade Gafford, PJ and Kyrie, thus finishing any hope for a competitive team in the near future, we need to get back 5-6 #1 picks back.
   OBVIOUSLY two of those “picks” (I consider our swaps picks sadly) need to be our #1’s in 2027 and 2028.
   That’s Charlotte and OKC.
   That’s at least two years in hell…..maybe three.
   That’s 30 win teams with no chance to win the majority of nights.
   Do we really want to sign up for that?
   Or can we truly enjoy watching basketball played at a relatively incompetent level for that long?

9. To "fix" the bigs redundancy, I'd just go with moving Gafford and drafting Morez.

   Also an underrated aspect on why keeping is Lively is important and his development is crucial (as his health) is his playmaking.
   Gafford isn't a good playmaker, same for Cissé and say hypothetically Morez either. I wouldn't trust them to make a play out of a double team, but I'd trust Lively to make a play out of all the bigs the Mavs has.

   It's important to have as many smart players in the playoffs so they don't get outplayed easily.

12. Our bigs are great, we may need a stretch, Bagley did it abit. What we need is guard play to help our centers. If you have P&R bigs then get P&R guards. It’s not that hard.

15. What is the problem in trying to get Myles Turner at the ~$25M contract range. You went through the entire list of centers, and there is a reason he makes that much amount. True stretch bigs are hard to find but they are super valuable come playoff time. That being said, there is no need to get him this season if the Mavs are not a win now team next season

16. Good tretch 5s are just hard to come by. If they can actually shoot they're usually bad at defense. Bobby portis is a prime example, he shoots well but is legit awful as a defender. I'd prefer just letting lively shoot from 3 for the season and see if he can get to 30+%. They're not going to win next year anyway.

17. If we take Mara the Mavs will be at lowest top 10 defensively! Assuming PJ Washington stays him Cooper Flagg and Mara would make this team really hard to score on!

21. We literally have a stretch 5 in Marvin Bagley, shooting 50 percent from three, who is affordable, a good passer and generally good offensively. Can block shots, can shift his feet on the perimeter.

They are not taking a gaurd unless it is Wagler its going to be a wing or fwd if we are going to be competitive with San Antonio and OKC it has to be size no one runs a tradition offense with a small gaurd they run defense where you have to switch your gaurd has to be able to gaurd 1,2,3 to be on the floor with Kyrie that means he has to be 6'5 or taller
