  1. You can’t clog Shai’s space without being forced to leave someone open. You have to pick a poison. Thats just how basketball works. Whether or not the offense can take advantage of that is on them.

On OKC’s part it was just a lack of shot making and becoming very predictable on offense. Literally every single possession starts the same exact way. Get Shai the ball at the top of the key, and let him drive in and collapse the defense.

They need to be more creative. For example, start their offense from the baseline or the wing, which would allow for a lot more space for off ball movement and make it much harder for Wemby to help off the corner man and still get a contest if he’s literally on the opposite side of the paint.

  2. I see this game going very very bad for OKC. I think the adjustments might be too much for such a 1 star ⭐️ centered team. They have to adjust to spurs coverage + guard Wemby on offense and Defense.

He literally gets fronted on defense like his team has the ball. Spurs in 6.

  3. @hoopvenue what would you say potential adjustments are? seems like wemby is sticking to shai on pnr so hartenstein could be used as an outlet. getting chet at the 5 he can be used as a roll man. what do you think?

  4. spurs for game 5. Lets go

Just keep in check the shooters, jaylen williams, carruso, maccain and even wallace if hes hot. You have to take away something but not both shai and their shooters going off

  5. Yeah, the problem was that they added more minutes to the bench relying on their hot performance from game 3 but they failed. Both team's decision making will be the factor in the next games.

  6. I disagree, shai has to be better as a playmaker and okc has to a better job moving. I don’t see how this similar to the mavs when they didn’t gap of the strong side corner in that series. Shai isn’t gonna get him game off shooting 40% long 2s over the top

  7. yes Castle is a great defender but bro just praised a man who is clearly fouling on film. yes the Thunder played terribly but the way the game was officiated didn’t help either. each game the spurs have won they shot atleast +10 free throws, altogether the biggest differential in playoff history. for two very physical teams, why is only one being allowed to be physical (besides game 3) ? and I understand that isn’t your job to highlight that but he can’t be the whole offense and also be getting hacked every play and nothing be called ontop of nobody else being able to create their own shot. And Chet Holgren … I digress

  8. As much as I want the Spurs to win, as much as I loathe OKC (seriously, if these team as it is today disappeared tomorrow, what do the basketball fans outside of OK lose? Nothing. Dirty basketball will be gone for a turn), I think they'll go to the Finals. Once those shots start sinking, especially bench shots, I don't think the Spurs will adjust their defense it in time. That said, I hope OKC goes down in flames. Karma is due

  9. We all know the refs aren’t gonna just let the thunder lose especially at home. If it’s a fair win then cool but the whistle needs to be blown right on both sides and just let the better team win. From here on out it shouldn’t favor either team.

  10. The was not great adjustment made. The thunder lost because they had a horrible shooting night and the Spurs shot a lot more free throws. Also Shai is the only ball handler available for the thunder now.

  11. Whoever wins game 5 is the NBA Champion and from the bottom of my heart I only want to see SPURS make it ❤‍🩹❤‍🩹❤‍🩹❤‍🩹❤‍🩹

  12. Anytime a team gets a heavy whistle they win. OKCs 1st win came with 10 extra free throws. Their second win was 7 if I remember correctly. Spurs 1st win they were dead even at 33 each and in game 4 the spurs had 14 more. It's manipulated to make the series last longer.

  13. Obviously if OKC was healthy with JDub and Mitchell this series would have been a 4-0 sweep. Everybody knows that. If not for a 30 foot miracle by wemby in ot of game one it's 3-1. Game four meant nothing. The Thunder just for whatever reason couldn't shoot and was 6-33 on threes and that happens sometimes. They lost to minnesota by 40 last year but still won the series easily. OKC broke the spurs when they outscored them by 30 in the last 3 quarters of game 3. This series is over. They will go on to win and get another championship.

  14. Great work HV. Big game 5 tonight. Im almost certain OKC will shoot better tonight. The question is will it be enough? Chet Holmgren has been noticeably missing from this series and though thats not a surprise one of the issues with Shai being 1st option 2nd option and then Jdub 3rd option is theres no one left among thier starters to say "Hey go get me a bucket". Chet didnt develop his game to that point still. This is one of the flaws to having such a great team…sometimes you're on autopilot and dont do more than you should because quite frankly you dont have to. The Spurs also made it a point to attack Jared McCain on defense which i had been calling for. Devin Vassell in my opinion has been the 2nd best player for the Spurs overall in the series. Criminally underrated. Can do it all. Looking forward to tonight
