The Cleveland Cavaliers got SWEPT by the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals & heads must roll

Karl Anthony-Towns had 19 points and 14 rebounds, OG Anunoby scored 17 and the New York Knicks routed the Cleveland Cavaliers 130-93 Monday night to complete a four-game sweep of the Eastern Conference finals and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

Landry Shamet scored 16 off the bench while Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson had 15 apiece for the Knicks, who became the fourth team to have an 11-game winning streak during their postseason run. The last to do it was Golden State, which had a 15-game run en route to its second title in three seasons in 2017.

All but one of the Knicks’ wins have been by double digits, with an average margin of victory of 23.7 points.

“I feel like the word ‘hope’ has been gone from the New York Knicks name for a long time and for me to be part of this team that revives hope is something special,” Towns said.

The Knicks pulled their starters with 7:47 remaining and a 35-point lead as their large contingent of fans loudly chanted “Knicks in four!” New York fans easily outnumbered Cleveland fans as die-hard celebrity fans director Spike Lee, comedian Tracy Morgan and actor Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, made the trip. | https://www.espn.com/nba/recap/_/gameId/401873344

  1. The Knicks were in the zone and the Cavs were zoned out! Plus if you play ball without any urgency or determination on that stage you deserve to get swept. Thanks Knicks for ending this series so we don't have to watch this pathetic team play anymore!

  2. We all know about the coaches that they lost from last season. That seems to make a big difference. But there's one coach we never mention. The coach who used to kick their butts in practice on a regular basis and get in their faces in the locker room when necessary. That coach's name was Tristan Thompson!

  3. Congratulations to New York Knicks!

CAVS ARE LACKING REAL LEADERSHIP ON THIS TEAM.

REMEMBER COACH TY LUE, LEBRON JAMES, AND KYRIE IRVING LEADERSHIP WAS LEGENDARY FOR THE 2016 CAVS CHAMPIONSHIP RUN!

  4. A gutless heartless showing in the eastern finals. Nothing short of a complete embarrassment. Coach Kenny was way in over his head. An all around epic disaster finals showing of all time.

Tant mieux si on gagne, tant mieux si on perd. Un peu de recul et de calme ferait du bien à tout le monde

  6. Legit should have lost to a beat up garbage Toronto team. Everything else after that wasn’t much better. Just shows how lucky they were to even be in the east finals

  7. With a better coach we never would have lost game 1 which would have given everyone on the team major motivation and this series would have been alot different. FIRE KENNY!!

  8. I know Cleveland was going to lose when they thought Dean Wade was going to stop Brunson 😂😂😂. Who the Hell is Dean Wade??? 😂😂😂😂😂

  9. I am a coach and trainer in a performance based industry we preach for success. You need to have the right process pay plans and personnel the Cavs have two out of the three of those can you guess which one is wrong?

  10. Four guys in the paint crashing the boards sitting there watching it put their heads down and start trotting the other way that's not a basketball team those aren't players that should be in the NBA and earning the money that they do

  11. unfortunately, quitting is nothing new with this bunch… remember last year, down 3-1 to the pacers… the series is basically over… game 5 is at home… instead of trying to win they tank at home so they can go on vacation early instead of going to Indiana for game 6… sound familiar? compare that to what the knicks did last year… same situation, but they win their home game 5… pathetic
