  1. I wish someone would make Jason shut up on the podcast, with real facts. his take: " Luka needs to be in better condition so he doesn't break down, guys like Wemby and SGA are taking better care of their body "

Oh really, brother? Wemby who was playing 25min a game and was coming off the bench on a 15 minutes restriction? Or how about SGA who didn't play 50% of the 1/4 q because his team was leading by 30? ( Unless he was stats boosting, then he was actually on the court at that time ). Take in consideration both guys are playing with teams completely BUILT AROUND THEM, in which they can thrive. Meanwhile, Luka spent 1/2 of the season with one of Lebron/AR missing, at one point he had close to 40% usage rate and played 40 minutes a game. I Would love to see SGA or WEmby in that role and watch how they body holds up. Talk about hypocrisy much?

To make things funny, he only does this for Luka. A few minutes before this, he had another dumb take – he would rather have AR than Mitchell. If you want to be a Lakers homeboy and praise Lakers players, do it for everyone. Stop throwing Luka under the bus. He has been doing it for the whole season.

  2. Imo I really like when u guys go in depth about why u like or dont like certain players on our team. Maybe u could a video covering all the possible targets and it they would fit

  3. JJ is a B sorry his misuse of Vanderbilt is ridiculous! Ausar Thompson can't shoot for shit but the Pistons does a good job of making his defense work.

  4. I really like claxton, but come playoff time he might get hack a claxed and get played off the floor like we saw mitch rob. I do like the descending contract tho

  5. Both Kyrie and Brunson were high level creators. Point guards that could shoot, not combo guards. Austin and a $20 million dollar wing or center is a no brainer over Mitchell.

  6. Wemby barely got to 65 games (and when he returned he came off the bench), and Shai played in only 3 quarters for games at a time. That's why they're still up, luka wasn't. His load is harder to carry, it's not about being in shape enough.

  7. Jason talking about Luka? No thanks. Let me guess, he talks about Luka's made up defensive flaws and his made up poor conditioning and ignores how he is as good a scorer as anyone in the league, the best passer in the league and the best rebounder on his team. Won't be watching this one. Jason shouldn't even be on this pod and most of the viewers agree with me.

  8. Reaves is the WORST defender in the #2 guard slot and it isn’t even close. His handles don’t even come close to Mitchell, Brunson. Murray or Kyrie. His shooting stats (in the playoffs) have declined every year especially on catch-and-shoot and 3s.

Jason continuing to elevate AR into something he’s not – a legit starting guard for a deep playoff team or contender.

  9. I’m with Jason on AR!! Every year he gets better and cares about it!!! Donavan is a much better athlete, but that is a problem as he gets older!!! Also Luka and Austin are best buddies, and Luka and ‘Bron are going to say keep are friend!!

  10. Dodgerfication: Because the Lakers’ old advantage was aura. Stars wanted to come. The building mattered. The jersey mattered. The city mattered. But modern sports are too smart now for aura alone. So if the Dodger-run Lakers truly build new labs, AI analysis, recovery systems, player-development intelligence, and a Dodgers-like decision architecture around Luka, that could be enormous. AI can't “win games” but it can help identify patterns humans miss: Which lineups quietly bleed points. Which defensive coverages exhaust a player. Which shot locations appear good but produce bad transition risk. Which player combinations create better rhythm for Luka. Where fatigue changes shot arc.How opponents adjust after timeouts. The Lakers need to become both mythic franchise and modern lab. Keeping Jeanie Buss involved matters symbolically. It says: the soul line is not being severed. And keeping Rob Pelinka –he may have to operate inside a more rigorous, less personality-dependent structure.
So the question: Can the Lakers keep the old purple-and-gold aura while building the invisible machine underneath it?
If yes, “Dodgerfication” could be wonderful. Better scaffolding. Because the new NBA is not simply stars versus stars anymore. It is anomaly versus model. Weather versus system. Geometry versus tempo. Data versus nerve. And the Lakers, if they are wise, will stop assuming the jersey is enough and start building the kind of organism that lets the jersey mean something again.
