Still Flemings! 😆 You couldn’t pay him to say Acuff. Safe pick lol. Shout out to B for all of his pre-draft work. We shall see soon enough.
Kingston, Acuff and then Brown.
I truly believe that Scott Perry is laying out groundwork for a trade down, so the strategy is to put out some interesting names that could go from 5-7 (namely Accuff)… He knows all the GMs in the league and has a great idea what each values and wants…
Putting Accuffs name as a strong possibility of the Kings pick at 7 is a honey to a fly strategy. Whoever reaches to grab the honey will have to give up some assets to do so. And in this draft the trade down may not even dent our ability to get an awesome prospect…
The teams possibly grabbing at that honey are:
DALLAS, Milwaukee, OKC, Miami
All would absolutely love to get their hands on Accuff or Flemmings but which would actually grab the honey… Maybe one will outbid the other… This strategy just gives us the best position to get assets or shed cap… Something that Scott mentioned so many times as his primary goal… So I do not see them picking at 7 at all… They will be trading down
We gotta really believe that Waggler is going to be the next Curry if we draft him because he has very little other than good shooting to offer.
Waglar can play point like he did the last 2/3 of season. He would be a top 3 pick if not for athletic profile. He could still develop physically and athletically. Anyone not liking this kid has not watched him play much. Highest floor and ceiling of these top guards.
