  1. I don't like Puffy tacos. Appreciated the other talk.

Can you guys elaborate on what the OG Anunoby trade would have been or does that erode trust in your sources even after the fact?

  2. In the Siakam trade, Toronto also wanted Keegan Murray included in the package. I remember that many people in the Kings bubble were against it, because nobody wanted to give up Murray after his rookie season. That should be taken into account as well.

  3. The Monte-and-Wes almost-traded-for all-stars:
    – Pascal Siakam

    – OG Anunoby
    – Kyle Kuzma
    – John Collins
    – Cam Johnson
    – Alex Caruso

I bet if Vivek doesn't have a reputation as a meddling, impatient owner that some of these trades get done.
Opposing GMs: "They were stupid enough to trade unprotected picks to Philly for cap space and Haliburton for Sabonis. See if you can get them to agree to more."
Vivek proceeds to trade for Zach Lavine and his awful contract in a Fox trade.

  4. Don't forget Michael Malone also went to the NBA Finals and won the title after being fired by The Kings.

The owner is a mess, however…..don't be too down.

Owners can change(see James Dolan at the moment)

The owner at some point will understand that he sets the goal to his management team and then gets out of the damn way.

Most owners, no matter how much they have been around the game, don't understand all the nuances that goes into building a team and or coaching a team.

    It's very rare.

It's best if they are sort of silent bosses, trusting the people they've hired to run operations(yes, sometimes they do need to step in and make changes)

Gm Scott Perry was part of the group that helped turn The Knicks around, so i think the owner should simply set a realistic goal(playoff level team within 3-4 seasons) and if the management team meets the initial goal, an extension is warranted(that should also have a set goal with a timeline, like a 3-5 yr extension with at least one conference finals appearance)

Day to day operations should not be something the owner is involved with.

Even though he/she/they might be the boss and signs the checks, you have to trust the people you hired to do the job.
