Trade up for AJ!!!
You can't beat Wemby one-on-one, but good news! Basketball has 5 players and coaches who are super smart.
If dp is not fine, aj will go to wizards. Pick acuff or boozer in that case. Both are franchise altering players with high floors with less 'potential upside but high flop' riskiness than the others. Avoid the risk and take the sure bet.
More Dybantsa and Boozer’s analytics-geeky numbers please
boozer>aj everytime
So…..we can’t stop Wemby so we must outscore him using the 3? Live and die…… Where have I heard THAT before??
No Cameron boozer
I would be totally happy with DP if he just freaking played. Doesn’t matter how good you are if you are always hurt. I don’t want a AD, Zion, or Ben Simmons.
Good points about bias and confounding: Moneyball vs. "I see it." Reminds me of how players like Kyle Anderson can be so unimpressively and quietly effective while doing exactly what they're asked to do.
Bring back Leif Thulin and his commonsense approach. No need to overthink or overanalyze this situation. Jazz stay at number 2 and pick either DP or AJ (whoever's left), it really is just that simple. Obviously, this assumes DP's health checks out, which I believe it will.
AJ 2 DC 100% confirmed 😂😂
DNP isn’t the best player. He’s the best scorer, sure. Best overall, no
Enjoy generational cramps Utah 😂
Life long jazz fan from Utah…. I swear if we trade up and give up ace or if we pick boozer I will hate the jazz and find a new team…. Mark my words
Boozer 6’9, not fast, with 28ish no step vertical is the opposite of what you need for Wemby. I think you need 7’0+, fast, with vertical. Boozer trying to get rebounds or shot off over Wemby lol.
Gawd, I hope we don't fall too far into analytics and we take Booze. Sorry, I walked with you and if Booze is the pick we will embrace him. However, I am really hoping we don't make that choice. I walked and left ya there.
Dybantsa has a slightly higher reach than Ace Bailey but 7 inch higher vertical. Both AJ and Peterson are incredible talents.
I'm convinced Caleb Wilson will quickly become the best player of this draft. The top four choices are all good, no doubt, but I'd take Wilson at 2 if the Wizards don't take him at 1.
lol enjoy watching AJ in dc losers
Nobody remembers Sean May. Dominated in college, especially in the tourney, but he was a tweener. Too small for a center and too slow for a PF.
I'm not saying Boozer is going to be washed in a couple of years, but there's a undeniable difference between the college and NBA games, especially for midsize bigs.
He's a solid pick #3 this year, due to his passing and shooting, unless Peterson's medicals are problematic.
How is boozer that much different to kyle filipousky?
Cameron " The Blue Marvel" Boozer is 1ofNONE if he is there at 2 the Jazz has to pick him can play 1-5 so he can fit any team
Cameron " The Blue Marvel" Boozer will be the best player on every lottery team not named Giannis
Cameron " The Blue Marvel" Boozer is not a point forward he is different he is a POWER GUARD
Cameron " The Blue Marvel" Boozer basically only lost to buzzer beaters
Your eyes are lying to you Cameron " The Blue Marvel" Boozer is a future MVP
I'd like to know who else had impressive analytics, similar to Cameron Boozer and back check it to see how they turned out in the NBA. In other words, what is the success rate with those same analytics relative to their draft pick?
The Jazz need to act like they want to trade up. Offer the 2nd pick with other future picks we don't need. Let them decline. Make them pick AJ, and then we get stuck with DP.
