1. Medically/psycologically cleared dp
2. boozer
3. aj
4. Sketchy dp
There should be no reason this team drafted cam boozer I mean I get the whole fit should not matter but it does Cameron Boozer could be really is it going to be better than jjj that's the same maybe Someday but not now so no DP or AJ keep it simple
We need AJ or DP 🎉
The new thumbnails. 🎉
If the jazz are dumb and draft Cam Boozer they are stupid they have jjj a 26 year old allstar and defense one of the best, maybe we can pretend best player doesn't mean that guy that can play 3 or 4 different positions but it does in this NBA that's why markkanen has such value he can literally Play 2 – 5 keyonte can play one or two, Ace can play 2 – 4, thats why you take AJ or DP both are probably equivalent in Talent but they can play multiple positions which makes them more valuable for a team like the Jazz who have a guy that is solidly nothing but a power forward an All-Star yes but a redundant power forward wouldn't make any damn sense it's like having two centers that one could be really good well but you already have an All-Star Center so drafting another Center is just redundancy stupid I mean it would be like us taking Walker Kessler I'm going and treating for Rudy gobert it doesn't make sense
That he load managed in HS tells me his cramping is a lifelong thing. Hidden by the family. The cramping at Kansas happened bc the dad had no control there. Jazz don't be a victim of fraud. Pass on dp.
Stop trying to make Cam Boozer happen its not gonna happen
This is why I think there should be a balance between analytics and the eye test. I think you can get in trouble when you rely too much on either one. Sometimes analytics cant measure certain qualities that lead to winning players.
Always trust the analytics.
He’s not a kid, Locke. Have some respect.
36:30 Totally disagree. DP is definitely SGA comp, just wait dude. Kobe? Could be
The problem with advanced analytics is it's only as reliable as the data points you give it. It's really hard to get a whole picture with analytics.
An overly simplified example would be "AJ Dybantsa ranks in the 99th percentile among draft prospects (2010–2026) in unassisted midrange 2-point attempts, especially early-clock contested jumpers. Other players who fall in that same category are Markelle Fultz, Evan Turner, Johnny Davis. Therefore advanced analytics tell us he is going to be a bust."
Obviously this doesn't give us a big picture of who AJ is. It's impossible to cover all of the variables that could have influenced this such as coaching, BYU injuries, etc. with advanced analytics.
People keep comparing Boozer to jokic. I have watched a lot of Boozer and he has never hit a pass that is up to Nicola's genius. He's a good passer he is a skip passer but nothing like Jokic. He is also way smaller than Jokic. That is no small difference. If he's Jokic, sure take him but if he's Sengun then no thanks
Carlos 😂
Still would choose DP over a Carlos 2nd round ceiling Boozer 2.0. 😂
The AI thumbnails are off putting. Why not just use a photo of the actual player. These things have no likeness.
Carlos was good but when he played taller players, it was a problem cameron’s shoots better than his dad but taller athletic defenders is still a problem
I get that you weigh your eyes and the numbers, and I'm not trying to insult, but it's interesting that you question the numbers so much in this case after so many episodes on percentiles for the past 10 years of draft classes.
It's always been small-sample-size theatre, if AJ hits 4 more threes this year is he a 36 or 37% shooter? That can be why a few bad shooters in college "become good" in the NBA.
I personally enjoy the breakdowns of the numbers, the outliers surface things we should look into.
If we pick DP I will cheer for him big time, load managing already in high school, struggling to handle a college level season and what appears to be a clear me over the team mentality in his play that allowed Kansas to win more without him makes me worried. Still a great HS player and injuries are injuries so if that who we get I'll be hopeful just not very confident
