Why 2020 Lakers Need to be Respected (ft. Danny Green)
The Los Angeles Lakers’ 2020 championship in the bubble was one of the toughest rings to win in NBA history. 3x NBA champion Danny Green explains why and details the team’s entire championship run.
Green breaks down what life was like inside the bubble and the impact of Kobe Bryant’s death on LA. He also describes what it was like playing alongside LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, Dwight Howard and the rest of the championship team. Green details every playoff series, including matchups against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers, James Harden, Russell Westbrook and the Houston Rockets, Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets, and Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

This is perfect case of how a lie can go unchecked and unchallenged for so long casuals and those who don’t know any better and those who do still perpetuate the lie because Skip Baseless, SAS, Rob Parker and others who were gatekeepers of the sports media were allowed to repeat that lie of how easy it was playing in the bubble daily without any pushback that it became clear it was simply because LeBron and the Lakers won when all of the players, coaches, staff and more importantly the support staff for the hotels, restaurants and other supporters of the whole thing said it was the hardest thing they ever had to do in their lives.
Lakers was 10-12 deep Caruso was getting like 10 min on the bench
They were bar far the best team all season. They won that shit for Kobe and they were gonna win no matter what
Me as die hard Laker fan under the “Pelinka & Reaves Depression Era” for the last 6yrs about to suffer another one for this video 😭🤧😅
Rondo was the main guy
They are literally telling us in plain sight….”kobe Bryant was KILLED in a helicopter crash…why used killed instead of saying he passed away or had a fatal accident?
Toughest championship of the 2020s I ever seen. Lakers proved they were the better team which it showed with them hosting up the O Larry trophy 🏆. Best finals of the 2020s to me. Lakers were in a stream roller mode they refused to get denied what was there that 2020 bubble action
LI legend
A very clear explanation. I can tell a lot of thought went into this.
Mickey Mouse championship.
Us REAL Lakers fan don't count that bullshit
@secretbase yall see this ish?
If that year doesn't count or it was so easy then why didn't your team do it?
Honestly amazing at the time to see rondo and Howard make an impact during that championship run
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It's because of titles like "Why 2020 Lakers Need to be Respected" and lines like "I want my damn respect" that the 2020 Lakers are disrespected as much as they are.
WE NEED OUR PARADE MFS🤣💜💛
Is Jimmy Butler a H.O.F? 🤔
Why did she say Kobe was “killed?” That was strange asf
Wait they really counted this as a ring for Bron ? Hell nah this shi shouldn’t count weakest finals ever
30 and 30 reb is crazy
please tell me which part of the bubble that fans claim the players didnt care about winning and being there lol
2020 champs💜💛
That 2020 is the best team in the nba since lakers 3 peat the only team comes close is kd and the warriors
AD hit a game winner saying “Kobe”.
It was the craziest and best of times all at once at a Lakers fan!
Rob Pelinka I’ll never forgive you for breaking up that team. They’ll could’ve run it back with a healthy Boogie too smh
Hot Take: 2020 Lakers can take on any of the last five NBA champions
Thanks for winning that one for kobe
cool
