Isiah Thomas & Kevin Johnson Can’t Stop Each Other

January 26, 1990 – True battle of star point guards here. Kevin Johnson proved unstoppable for much of the evening, finishing with 34 points, 22 of which came in the first half. However, in the end it was Isiah Thomas and the Detroit Pistons shining through, as they often did in 1990. Thomas finished with 27 points and 12 assists in a 107-103 win over the Phoenix Suns, snapping the Suns’ 10-game win streak in the process.
