That Celtics/Pelicans trade idea was good until the thought of picks. Not completely against adding picks bc I think it is unfair to take back Derrick White and Zion for AD straight up. IF we were pistons adding Rasheed Wallace to get that chip it would make sense, but wiz are building something different. We building to be good forever…that requires keeping picks at all costs and keeping this roster very tight knit/invite only type.
I don’t see the issue for using Petersons HS tape to see he has the capability to play point is a problem. No ones saying he’s gonna be a point god or anything like that but I’d view him like a Lillard type PG, score first and could get you like 6-7 assists a night. Cuz that would be like not looking at any HS tapes for AJ where he is a beast defensively and only looking at college games and thinking this dude is a Luka or Harden level defender, it’s clearly not the case but it’s good to have more sources where you can pull info from. Also not saying to treat HS tapes as gospel but they ain’t worthless
They need to change the team name the The District. Part of why ppl don’t take us serious is because of the wizards name lol
