Rudy Gobert Still Has An UNDENIABLE IMPACT | A Tale Of Two Minnesota Timberwolves Teams

1. RG can have a big impact on the defensive end but his absolute ineptitude on the offensive end negates that d impact. His lack of o skills are striking which means his defender can ignore him, therefore clogging the lane, which hampers the Pups to a level that is tough to overcome.

   Problem is, he's gonna be 34 and we know by now he becomes a liability on both sides of the ball the further you get in the playoffs. This was even obvious on Team France 2 years ago when they literally only played him 5 minutes against the US.

   Rudy is like one of those video game or anime sub-bosses that gatekeeps everyone from the truly elite. He will never be one of those elite, at least not as your starting center

5. Rudy Allows 20 less points per 100 possessions per game. The problem is 11 of those are prevented from the other team scoring and NINE of them are what he's preventing the Wolves from scoring. Look at the numbers. +11 defense -9 offense per 100 for a WHOPPING net of 2 points for 160-170 mill over last 4 years when they could have kept Kessler and paid him 13 mill TOTAL over last 4 years, not shipwrecked their offense 4 years ago and would have been an ELITE affordable pairing with KAT for the last 4 years who actually fit our timeline. I wouldn't have traded Kessler and his 4 years 13 mill total for Rudy and his 4 for 160-170 in the same time period straight up, let alone including all the other assets including Keyonte George. If they NEVER traded for Gobert and kept Kessler they win 50 games Connelly's 1st season and dont play Denver in playoffs without McDaniels. Wolves #1 offense went to bottom 5 after adding Gobert and Conley for a WHOOPING 71 mill a year. That very 1st offseaon Kyrie was traded for ONE First THREE YEARS AGO and Brunson signed with the Knicks for the SAME MONEY Wolves had paid and were about to overpay Mike Conley for being old. Conley has so much value after not teaching Dillingham ANYTHING in 2 years we had to attach a pick swap to him just to dump him off the roster and then had to attach a good young player like Leonard Miller to Dillingham. Ridiculous asset management. Trade Conley and Dillingham before the season and resign NAW for the EXACT same money. Now you swapped your 1st, lost Miller, sent out 4 #2s and have to try to get Ayo to resign and replace NAW anyways. Just screwing the pooch and taking hit after hit on the asset side. Lost the Gobert trade PERIOD compare him and Kesslers per 36s without the ego or salary and we clearly didnt have the money or they wouldn't have traded Towns saying they couldn't afford to keep him. Then they brough in Conley and his money because we went over the cap getting Gobert and everything else blowing all our cap space we were set to have. We got Conley instead of Kyrie or Brunson or anybody else. Lost on Dillingham draft trade. Lost on KAT trade now we have Randle. When is he going to start actually winning some trades actually not in revisionist history who like to talk endlessly about the same thing. They should have left the team alone and made proper tweaks instead of trading everything for Gobert after Wolves just lost a tough 6 game series vs Memphis that Naz missed all of with a broken wrist or the Wolves win that series. They had control of 5 or 6 of the 6 games in the series not having Naz hurt us on the boards and late in games with loss of him as scoring depth.

6. Fans don't have a lot of sympathy left for the big goofy Frenchman. You're massively over spoken endless defense of him tells me you protest too much. If it were really the way you insist on telling the story you wouldn't need to make weekly videos on the subject for FOUR YEARS running about the topic. We heard ypur opinion on the subject and we respectfully disagree. You are free to your OPINION but they are like as*holes everybody has one, doesn't make your argument hold water. Compare him and having to aquire Mike Conley to save their season and sneak in as an 8 seed vs Keeping Kessler and drafting George the following year or trading 1 1st for Kyrie to trio with KAT and Ant or Brunson who was a FA they would have had money to sign. Give me Kessler who was in hand and any of a LIST of other PG options at that time and possibly George over Gobert and Conley for 71 and 68 mill every single time. KAT makes too much money please take him for a discount… I would not have traded KAT straight up for Gobert neither would Ant have if you told him this is where the team was going to be in 4 years. He'd say what the hell have you done to the roster and where are the assets?

7. Rudy needs to go. Need a 5 that moves faster, can somewhat consistently contribute to offense(not just be a scarecrow in the paint), space the floor…well now im sad KAT is gone. Need joan or rocco to start. Develop ur assets. Lets go
