REPORTS: Phoenix Suns Trading For Ja Morant Is NOT An Option This Offseason
After some unsubstantiated rumors and reports, the notion of the Phoenix Suns making an offseason trade for Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has officially been shut down. Morant, 26, was often the subject of rumors linking him to Phoenix due to his standing as a star-level lead guard, his connection to former teammate Dillon Brooks and a belief that Memphis may be looking to move on.

The suns don't need a big move/ gamble right now. They have a solid roster, a good mix of youth and veterans. They are moving away from the second apron restrictions.
Teams like Miami, Atlanta Cleveland and Chicago would certainly have interest in grayson allen ,royce o' Neale and mark williams.
If the suns were willing to pay and additional 6.5 million on williams contract in a sign and trade, the bulls would likely agree to that as injury insurance minimizing the cost of trading for him.
In return the suns would get the 15th pick and a chance at Lebaron philon or ebuka okorie.
Same for the other teams mentioned.
Those teams could also have a need for grayson allen , particularly teams wanting to advance in the playoffs . Teams like Orlando, Detroit, Miami and Cleveland.
Moving allen would open a spot for brea and free up a good chunk of money to bring back almost all of our guys while staying out of the repeater tax.
Jayden quaintance could fall low enough due to his serious knee injury concerns that the suns could move up and snag him for cheap.
Then purchase a higher second round pick to get a baba miller, Jaden bradley .
Filling both the power forward and pointguard spots on cheaper rookie contracts.
Basically we deal into the first round for okorie or philon, then move up in the second using cash to buy a pick at the top.
We take quaintance who has stated he'd love to come to the suns.
Our young core on cheaper contracts would be okorie or philon,brea,fleming,quaintance and maluach.
