Kings TRADING Domantas Sabonis For Miles Bridges, Josh Green & A 1st Rd Pick?
A fascinating trade framework has reportedly been discussed between the Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Hornets involving All-Star center Domantas Sabonis. According to HoopsHype’s Mike Scotto, exploratory talks included a package centered around Miles Bridges, Josh Green, and a potential first-round pick heading to Sacramento in exchange for Sabonis.
HoopsHype analyst Cyro Asseo breaks down the proposed framework from both sides and examines whether this deal makes sense for either franchise.
For Charlotte, acquiring Sabonis would give LaMelo Ball one of the NBA’s best offensive big men and potentially create one of the league’s most dynamic playmaking duos. For Sacramento, the move would signal a major shift in direction, adding wing depth, draft capital, and roster flexibility around its remaining core.
The video explores the salary implications, roster fit, strengths and weaknesses of the deal, and whether either front office should seriously consider pulling the trigger.
Would you make this trade if you were the Kings? Or should the Hornets pay even more for a player of Sabonis’ caliber?

Info in Charlotte is that talks are exploratory and do not involve either of the 2026 first rouund picks. Any possible deal would be done after the beginning of the new league year due Bridges' declining contract. Draft compensation in terms of a first might not be before 2029.
Why would the Hornets do this? Bridges is better all around player than Sabonis and he's younger
